Ex Patriot Admits Cheating

nothing will happen, it's just good seeing guys publicly admit it so it can't be called sour grapes or conspiracy. Kind of like former SEC guys now openly talking about how they were paying players. It's obvious but nice to see it admitted.
college superstars, regardless of conference, have always been getting paid.

That was also a result of around 10 years of drafting very late because of success, then your hof players aged out. It was certainly rebuilt fairly well before Cowher took over and went 6 straight years in the playoffs.

Noll made the playoffs in 1 of his last 7 years. There were some good pieces left over for Cowher, but he didn't inherit a championship team by any means.

Re: the drafts, the 70s brought lower draft picks, but he had some terrible drafts with higher picks in the 80s:

1982 1.12: Walter Abercrombie
1983 1.21: Gabe Rivera over Dan Marino
1985: 1.20 Darryl Sims
1988: 1.18: Aaron Jones
1989: 1.7: Tim Worley
1989: 1.24: Tom Ricketts
1991: 1.15: Huey Richardson

They did have some stinkers, but they also had

This isn't the first time a league has covered up cheating. Over the years baseball has had issues, from before the Black Sox scandal. Pete Rose in all likelihood wasn't the only guy in baseball betting on baseball, but he was so high profile, it looked like they were really doing something. If to many fans question the outcome of games, it becomes the WWF and no one takes it seriously. What Goodell doesn't seem to understand is that by just sweeping it under the rug, that sentiment is growing anyway. So many younger fans really believe Taylor Swift dating Travis Kelce caused the Chiefs to get calls.

Fuuck the Steelers ownership and FO for taking it up the asss for years.
Yeah, but I didn't want them going and whining to the league about it. They would look weak and whiny. Figure out ways to cheat back at the Patriots. My favorite story of Noll and the Steelers is the 1975 AFCC game in Pittsburgh when the tarp "ripped" overnight causing the sidelines to freeze. The Raiders made their living there, Al Davis was all piissed about it...he was whining for years after. But the Raiders were known for doing shiit when teams would go out there. So don't whine, just figure out a way to screw with them.

What's more important to them? Integrity or making a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

They gave us that answer with spygate a long time ago. Which we damn sure know didn't end then.

You don't even need the video, just great microphones in the appropriate places. which are easily hidden.

It's like insider trading in the stock market. It's easy to win when you know everything beforehand.
There's certain people in high places that have been doing that for decades.

There are so Chiefs got the calls, but the root of getting may not have been Taylor (but contributed as they wanted expanded fan base)

The other part of that outcome was the Steelers beating the Browns. I just felt the Steelers would sit guys then for two weeks if the Ravens won, and imo that isn't conducive to success in the playoffs. Tomlin has that arrogance. A week to get healthy, fine. So the Steelers dropped the ball in my " dream scenario" as you say.

Are you that scared over this game? Can't your tender emotions handle the outcome if it goes bad?

Id rather Tomlin was fired, but will never, ever understand Steeler fans cheering for rats, though I do appreciate your sanctimony.

Expand the fan base? To who? 14 year old girls? Yep, because of Taylor Swift all the sudden millions of teenage girls are gonna start watching football.

Look, I'm not saying there aren't questionable things that happen, but the Chiefs have been like every great team that has had a run. They get the benefit of the doubt. Remember Mike Renfro or the pass interference call with Swann in 13? If we had social media then they would be saying the same thing about the Steelers.

Maybe cause Bradshaw was married to Jo Jo Starbuck, the NFL wanted to get a foothold into the figure skating world for new fans. No disrespect meant here, but that Taylor Swift angle just seems so silly to me, because even if it in theory would expand the fan base, what happens when Kelce retires?

I'm being sanctimonious? Look in the mirror.

And who said I was cheering for the Rats? I laid out why I thought it was important for the Steelers. Who give a shiit about the Rats?

My favorite story was someone finding a Houston Oilers playbook in the locker room and brought it to Noll.

He had it before the team and promptly said we will not open it,we will play our game, and threw it in the trash.

That's integrity defined!

Yeppers, totally opposite of our HERO, Billicheat would send employees into the opposing teams locker rooms…….. looking for play charts / game plans / anything to give them an edge……..

Yes SIR, Mr. Integrity himself.

No shocker. I also know the cheating was so in depth Goodell had to destroy the tapes. For me that is why their 6 rings will always be tainted not knowing the degree that helped them ultimately win them…
This tells you all you need to know -----^

It is a great story. As far as we know, though, the Houston Oilers were not cheating. So using that playbook would have been shiity. The Patriots are a different story.
