*** also ben is in the top half of yardage Qbs this year… yeah he isn’t converting tds and that is big, but he still is driving the offense
I don't. If you can't pretty much use the majority of your plays in a no-huddle situation, then you have problems. A play is a play when you boil it down. You just need to communicate the play differently. That really shouldn't be that difficult. If it is, this goes back to my other comment that maybe our WR's shouldn't be switching between each WR position. Take 2 at most and limit the reads they have to make. I'm guessing most teams don't have their WR's learn and operate from all WR positions.I think the gutted no huddle is overblown… or hyperbole….
I think with a new oline there will obviously be less plays… there is no way to teach them all a hundred no huddle specific plays already, but they have run more than 12 no huddle plays this season so it was probably exaggerated…
Wr went from a simple position in the 90’s to one of the more complex ones… route tree adjustments based on coverage keep getting more technical… I just think with the gross amount of youth on this O, the start of this year was going to be pretty bumpy no matter what..I don't. The yardage is a bit deceptive given how atrocious the offense looks for large portion of games. I think Ben added about 100 yards passing during garbage time of the Cincinnati game last week. It looks good at the end of the game, but if you watch the play over the course of the game you can clearly see how inefficient and ineffective the offense is.*** also ben is in the top half of yardage Qbs this year… yeah he isn’t converting tds and that is big, but he still is driving the offense

Also on the line, Greene is converting from guard to center as a rookie starter… Chuks was asked to be the lt until the last week of the preseason, and moore had to learn swing tackle roles as a rookie before being inserted as a rookie starter at lt
Simplified roles probably would help

He has spurts of quality play, it just happens to come in the second half and over the past 10 games, often not enough as this team continues to lose games.I don't think anybody was implying the offense was efficient or effective as you say one just needs to watch the game. I think that there are times Ben does do something but it is overlooked due to the stailness perceived of the offense.
I can see them do that like they did a few years back. Tomlin had either the O or D (can't recall which) go back to just playing football. Beat your man, period. That's all you they had to worry about. With this O and how bad Canada appears to date, I think that might be what they do but even that will mean they have to throw deep, throw in the middle of the field, and do the things they just aren't doing or aren't doing much of currently.Wr went from a simple position in the 90’s to one of the more complex ones… route tree adjustments based on coverage keep getting more technical… I just think with the gross amount of youth on this O, the start of this year was going to be pretty bumpy no matter what..
