They put no pressure on Sanders at the beginning of the game. They rushed 3-4 and dropped into zone. He was able to sit back and wait...yes the TD was a fluke, but the game plan allowed it to happen to begin with.
The offensive game plan is 100% on Tomlin. The plan wasn't "win the game" it was "don't let Garrett get a sack". We have no threat at WR, but are deep at TE, and we throw screens behind the LOS with no blocking that wide, we bust a big run play, abandon that. Get stuffed with the run? Double down on that... There was a 3rd and 4, we ran a deep top the offensive right, all the OL were downfield on LB, but no one blocked the 3 DB'S. Muth was there and he sealed the edge and there was no where to go.
Once again Muth is ignored until clutch tone, two monster receptions then ignored again...makes zero sense.
