Men are way more stimulated by visual things (i.e. porn and nudity). Women aren't typically all that into visuals when it comes to adult entertainment. Words and even more importantly imagination are what does it for most of them.....if you believe the studies any way. The book is why women are flocking to the theater in droves. They have already read it and got all hot and bothered over it. A sexually charged book designed for women featuring a handsome guy with a high profile job, tons of money and a domineering personality, who eventually falls in love with the girl and puts her above all else = goldmine. Yes my wife has read it a billion times and explained the plot to me. She wanted me to read it and I made it about 30 pages in. Couldn't do it. The plot seemed very silly and not in any way believable.

I will never criticize the book or the movie out loud no matter what I think of it. They have both paid off handsomely in my case.

Lol I was thinking the same thing. Most guys would kill to have a wife with a little bit of "perversion" to her. Sure would beat the alternative of being married to one of those women who thinks anything outside of missionary position sex with the lights off is sick and gross.

Yes, the majority of porn is as you describe it. However, there is all kinds of porn catering to just about every imaginable interest. Yes, even for women, written and directed by women.

Same goes for erotic literature which is just another form of pornography. Books like fifty shades of grey were already out there, they just weren't marketed as being mainstream.
