20 Steelers Amarius Mims RT Georgia
Jackson Powers-Johnson has been who I thought the Steelers would go with since the season ended but they didn't send the house to his pro day and it sounds like the team likes what Herbig would bring to center if he ends up starting. Meaning they don't feel center is a huge hole. Maybe it is a smoke screen but either way if JPJ and Mims are on the board either would be a great selection. Mims is physically as imposing as you will get for a RT. 6-8, 340lbs, with banana hands at 11 1/4' and 36 1/8' arms should make it hard for defensive ends to get their hands on him. He is still pretty raw but you can't deny the upside potential. I feel Moore is probably going to have to battle for LT and likely lose and might be a trade candidate.
21 Dolphins Johnny Newton DT Illinois
22 Eagles Jackson Powers-Johnson OC Oregon
23 Cooper DeJean DB Iowa
24 Cowboys Chop Robinson DE Penn State
25 Packers Byron Murphy II DT Texas
26 Buccaneers Keon Coleman Florida State
27 Cardinals Kool-Aid McKinstry CB Alabama
28 Bills Xavier Worthy WR Texas
29 Lions Darius Robinson DL Missouri
30 Ravens JC Latham OT Alabama
31 49ers Braden Fiske DL Florida State
32 Chiefs Graham Barton OL Duke

51 Zach Frazier OC West Virginia
Former wrestler turned center. Steelers should have found a pulling center to start eventually with Frazier. Having Herbig helps the team not have to put a rookie immediately in at center which stunted Kendrick Green's progress. But sooner or later Frazier should be a long term solution for the team. He's more quick than fast and might not be the biggest center but he is strong as an ox and plays with a mean streak.

84 Devontez Walker WR UNC
Might be the most dangerous receiver with the ball in his hands coming out of the draft. Was clocked at over 23mph running in the open field last year. Needs to improve his route tree but should be able to take the top off a defense and if you put him across from Pickens and CA3 in at slot we have quite the track team out there.

98 Maason Smith DL LSU
Physically as gifted as any defensive linemen in the draft. Big, powerful, long arms. Plays his best when he is playing the 5 or 4 technique. Hopefully he can learn from Heyward this year and push Leal and Loudermilk for time.

119 Jaylen Wright RB Tennessee
You might wonder with Harris and Warren why we might draft another RB. Well, Harris probably gets his 5th year option taking him through 2025 and Jaylen Warren probably get RFA for 2025. I don't see the Steelers signing both long term. This gives the team depth now and a replacement in a couple of years for whoever leaves. Also, the Falcons had a thousand yard RB in Allgeier and it didn't stop Smith from grabbing Robinson. Wright would be a steal at this point of the draft and most of the teams glaring holes have been filled.

178 Daequan Hardy CB Penn State
Perfect slot defender and return specialist. Penn State was ridiculously deep on defense and guys like Hardy had to fight for playing time. But Hardy gave up a 67.7 QB rating when targeted and had 5 PD and 2 ints last year. He was credited with 3 tfl and 1 sack as well and played very well in a Mike Hilton type role for the Nittany Lions. He also was an A+ return man.

195 Logan Lee DL Iowa
Could go QB here but I feel an UDFA to stick on the PS will be just fine. Lee has a relentless motor and reminds me a little of Aaron Smith. Decent job at holding the point and is agile enough to get round defenders and put pressure on the QB. I feel we are not very deep at DL and besides Benton don't have much currently on the roster for future starters. Maason Smith and Logan Lee could easily join Benton as starters on the defensive line come 2025.

Ill bet 1 person,, can be anyone we dont take mims. 10 bucks.. Im a high roller
Why do you think Mims isn't an option ? His high risk factor?

I could see that viewpoint if that was your thought process.

Plus I think although a high need not as high of a need as C and WR. Not sure that will matter if Mims is BPA. But will be an interesting see.

One of the better draft forecasts I've seen: takes care of both lines. Big plus. Also touches WR, CB.
