Not looking to get political…with the high rate of positives this week, could the NFL shut down for a week? How would they reschedule?

Meh. A lot of cases but really no issues. I think I read one account of a player being really sick. Most just get a paid week off. Hell TJ and Ben didn’t even miss any time.

Good question but I HIGHLY doubt the NFL would shut down if even for just one week. Last year was way worse and yet our STEELERS had to play regardless due to teams being bigger than the "rog".

NOT a chance of shut down.

No need to shut down or impose any restrictions on teams or fans. Just play with who you have just like last year. The players have almost all been coming back in less than a week. The more that get the real antibodies, the better moving forward. The NBA is dealing with the same thing. If you can't front a team, you forfeit. That's about all they can do at this point in the season. The playoff dates are set as well as the SB and they are too close to really change anything. Play the games.

Baker Mayfield the latest positive test.

Just wait till after Christmas and New Years. The hospital that I work at is now kind of easing up from the Thanksgiving rush. The positive cases next month could affect the way the season goes for the Steelers.

I would be worried if there was any chance the Steelers make the playoffs.

Seasonal virus spikes? Craziness! The viruses just aren't being used properly during the summer months.

Adams was added to the craziness. Good thing we have two DLs on the return.

I know right? It’s pretty f#cked up. Seriously. It takes about 7-10 days for cases to pop up. After thanksgiving, we got a little busy. Not just with Covid (from what I understand there were a lot of mild cases recorded from our ER) to some pretty sick ones. Not just that, folks just generally getting sick or just having cardiac issues or strokes. It’s crazy. I’m not surprised one bit about the recent spikes in the NFL. Won’t be surprised if there are spikes after Christmas/New Years. Unfortunately, the Xi Flu and all it’s ******* variants are going to be part of society…

and the head coach

Last year proved they don't really need the HC present.................................. wait, when do we play them again ?

Browns now down to their 3rd string QB.
Eh, maybe. NFL changed the protocols today. Player only needs one negative test to get back at it.

Seriously? That is total bullshit.
Yep, apparently enough Browns players were back after passing one test that Garrett felt the need to go off to the side and practice on his own ... after he "missed" the first half of practice.

Imagine if Steelers went on a winning streak and made the playoffs after Tomlin, Canada and Butler came down with Covid and had to stay away from the team. :)

Pretty certain Andy Williams wrote a song about that happening...The Impossible Dream
