What bothers me is that a lot of these people do not use these handouts to take care of their kids and then consequently we end having to pay again to have them fed in school. I kind of laugh when summer comes and all these do gooders go scrambling to find a place for the kids to eat because school is closed.

I've said before that in the inner cities where a lot of these people live (or rural areas for that matter) there are not nearly enough jobs even if people wanted one. That said, the current multi-generational welfare class is a lost cause. There is no work ethic or example of one and getting up to go to work every day is a totally foreign concept. A lot of them are lucky to wake up before the polls close at 8:00 pm on election day. If you want to fix the system you have to leave it as-is for the people on it now and say that everyone born as of Jan. 1, 20xx does not get welfare and/or extra payments for any kids they have. When the system doesn't reward you for being a couch potato, there will be less couch potatoes.
