Fool's gold yet again, says the schedule

The last 3 weeks have truly exposed them with probably no more wins coming this season.

Draft DL, WR, DL, RB in that order is a must. They also need to come up with a better D philosophy. They can't stop the run the way they play and if they do, they get passed all over by any good QB. Our OL sucks as well but hopefully the turnstile Moore is gone with Jones moving back to his natural position and Fautanu is healthy to man the RT spot. They will have 4 very young guys on the OL to hopefully man it well for a handful of years.

All that is true, but they are going NOWHERE with Russ. We are done for a long long time. A total rebuild and new philosophy is needed and will take years.

Maybe but it won't happen. If they lose out, I would seriously be thinking about trying to get another QB or try to sign Fields. I love that Russ moon ball and maybe if we had a legit WR2, things would be different. This team is a long way from being a true contender. They need coaching changes and player changes. Plus, will they want to pay GP after this season so he doesn't get to FA? He will command top 5 WR money for sure. I think they have to sign him and then think about trading him. A couple of years ago, teams were offloading WR's for huge draft pick hauls. Sure wish we could do something similar as we have way too many needs.

Never in the game aginst KC after the coin toss. Fans BOOING after 1st drive. Utter embarrassment in front of a home Christmas crowd. Any other coach would feel bad and step aside.

1.5 maybe 2.5 solid wins.

“Never in the game after the coin toss”? What would have happened if Wilson tossed an TD instead throwing the pick in the EZ? Your whining is the definition of “agenda based” horseshit. Too many missed on the field opportunities (on turnovers), too many offensive turnovers, a couple bad calls by officials (the expected norm nowadays), but Mahomes just is the X factor in todays NFL. No denying that. None of those negatives is on the coaches, it was on the players.

We are light years away from being a legit contender, think about it. But a legit head coach could get us there, but this clown we have imitating a real head coach, no, we aren't even close. How many years do we need to see the same damn thing? We And yet we just keep finding new excuses for the same problems. It's endless. We are going on 8, but that doesn't even tell the whole story. This undisciplined head coach has been going on for 15 years. What's the excuse this year? The QB? What about the D? It's wilted again. The running game ain't getting it done, again.

Fields???? lol

It was OVER at 13-0 and you know it. Go have some wine and cheese. We'll get em' next year !! What an EMBARASSMENT he's made this franchise.
And who was tricked by our 10-3 record? I wasn't, I HOPED but I wasn't convinced. Mediocre Mike is simply mediocre. That's all this is.

I disagree. The right philosophy makes a huge difference. It can turn a franchise almost overnight. The talent is there to compete. The right philosophy can push the team higher than they are now.

We can debate it but it's a mute point. The Rooney's value DEI over winning and the clown they hired will only hire inferior coaches so he never has to worry about them taking his job. I guess it's fittihg for the town of Pittsburgh that we hired for all the wrong reasons.

I agree. Who recalls a young Bill Cowher and the difference he made immediately? He took a 7-9 team and immediately turned them around to 11-5 team in his 1st year. We need that same youthful energy. But that ain't arriving in a cool shades package, it just isn't.

Sigh. You are right, I am sorry to say. Cool Shades makes sure no legit coaches will garner the spot light. He is sure to stop them. And the media marches in lock step in unison. The talk of Shades winning Coach of the Year was such bull s----.

We always hear about Thursday Night road teams getting smoked on 3-4 days rest and there was a lot of angst over the schedule but it didn't seem to bother KC one bit.

The team is spent.

I don’t buy this. If the guy is hiring inferior coaches, it would stand to reason he’d lose more than he does. I will say this much, I think the problem is more HIS offensive and defensive philosophies than that of his coordinators. The Tampa 2 is ****, and so is whatever the cluster **** of an offense they are running. I mean, we can blame Fichtner, Canada and Smith, but at some point we have to look at the fact that it’s probably no coincidence that those cats all run the same scheme, minus a wrinkle or two.

Well you misunderstoold me. Look at my past posts. I said Tomlin sticks his nose in the offense and his "bend but don't break" defensive strategy is garbage. But he's also a POS that won't hire an up and comer that might take his job.
