Football Life Bill Cowher

Perfect Coach after Noll retired. A real Pittsburger.

This generation growing up will only know the team as mediocre. They've regressed to the point they no longer stand out and have no brand. Well, other than staying exactly the same.
They only have a history that's getting pretty far away in that rear view mirror.
Sad, really. All from Clown-lin.

He was done, done with Steeler fans interrupting his dinners when out, he was just so sick of the interruptions and that.
Yur such a dweeb.
How the **** would Cowher retiring stop fans from approaching him in public?
He’s still Bill Cowher.

I have to agree with ya Drink. We’ll never know as I mentioned but I think we would have 2-3 more as well.
I’m so bummed these days with the team I grew up with it makes me sad to see **** like we see going on.
I don’t want to hear the standard is the standard bs any longer either. They’re just words!

The standard is 9-8 and a raise/extension.

I know which coach would motivate me to run through a brick wall for him.

In 2006, there was obviously something bothering him. Yea, you often experience a "down season" after winning it all, that's nothing new. But there was something missing in 2006. You could tell. His wife being ill?
However when Kaye Cowher was diagnosed in 2010, he found out that he only knew a fraction of what he should. After his wife’s passing in July, only five months after being diagnosed, Bill began getting more and more vocal about the importance of getting skin checks. The most important thing he took away from everything he learned was that skin cancer is detectable.
Bill Cowher leaving the Steelers had nothing to do with his wife's health. They built their dream home in NC. She was living there he was working 70 hours a week in Pittsburgh alone. Also, when you chase something that long and you get it........gives you perspective. I believe he had every intention of returning to the sideline. But he realized that's a crazy life and I have enough.
