Full Draft Big Board

Really? Didn't some guy named Emmitt Smith do OK at winning Super Bowls? Which team drafted him?

When you have to go back 35 years to find a star first round RB that produced super bowls for the team that drafted them, its not a selling point for drafting a RB in the first round....

OH, I SEE, SINCE EMMITT DOESN'T FIT YOUR NARRATIVE YOU CHOSE TO OMIT HIM. I see, how convenient. I see your spotty analysis there.

you know is a passing league now right?

Can’t say I agree about the Jaxon Dart ranking. What are you seeing that makes you put him so high? He has no one trait that is elite.
I really had to look past the simplified offense. Most of the plays are one read recognition. But it’s more of a pre-read one side of the field all predicated on the defense. So he runs the offense that his team implements and he does it extremely well. It’s hard to know how well he’ll adjust to a new offense but that really can be said about any quarterback drafted.
So here’s what I do know.
Arm strength. Regularly and effortlessly tossed the rock 60+ yards in the air. No worries about being able to make all the necessary throws in the NFL.
Accuracy. Able to throw into tight windows in short, intermediate, and long.
Touch. Knows when to take something off the throw.
Athleticism. He’s not Lamar but he’s every bit as a running threat as Mahomes.
Competitor. Fiery leader who puts it all on the line.

It’s a crap shoot. I just don’t see a weakness in the kid. I think too many GMs are sleeping on him. But I also feel someone snags him before 21. In fact my guess is he goes before Sanders.

I don't see the arm strength. It is ok but not elite. I don't think there is a chance we take a QB in the first. 90% chance DL 10% chance RB.

Rooney thought Najee was the next Henry...wrong O Buck O. He should have taken his no show at the 40 time more seriously. Najee was a mid-round (3rd-5th round) pick. He should have never been taken in the 1st.
And in other news my dad really should have bought Nike stock in the initial offering. Most people were extremely happy with the pick. He also wasn't exactly a bust. Overdrafted sure. 5th round come on. Helps if you block too.

Not only that, you can't just blanket statement things like that without looking at that particular draft. It wasn't a great draft overall. You can go down the list, and very few starters came from that draft from top to bottom. RB was REALLY weak as a hole, and that pushes guys like Najee up the draft. I agree, over drafted, and definitely not a bust, but I don't know where you would have drafted him other than the first. Even if you 20/20 hindsight draft, do you take Muth in the first and Creed in the second, take Creed first, Muth second? Najee in that draft, is at WORST a second round pick

I really pray Khan is a better GM than Colbert and doesn’t draft on need but BPA. That’s how we ended up with Edmunds, Ziggy, Burns, Bush and Uncle Jarvis.

With every one of those picks, there wasn't a single person that liked them in the moment, and they only got worse as time went on. So far in two drafts, we haven't had that. Jury is still out on how they will all pan out, but there hasn't been the gnashing of teeth over a reach or overdraft. Most of the complaints have been Tomlin playing them out of position, or injuries keeping them off the field.

That's your only comeback You all pat yourselves on the back for learning a new word? Hilarious. LOL
You don't deserve more attention than that, and you were the one to learn it. Have a nice life

He was definitely not a 1st-round pick, no way. He hid his 40 time for a reason, Art just had no idea.

He didn't hide it, there was no official combine due to covid, and he was dealing with an ankle injury at his pro day. No one expected him to run a 4.4, as his game was never about running away from people, but running over them. His reported 40 times ranged from 4.52-4.6. For the record, Derrick Henry's 40 time at the combine was a 4.54. He wasn't drafted as a home run hitter, he was drafted as a bruiser. Which he was, he rarely went down on first contact, and would consistently drag defenders with him. He also has a nasty stiff arm. Is he explosive? nope, did we do him any favors putting him in a zone blocking scheme? again, nope. Again, go back and look at that specific draft, the top two backs were him and Etienne. And I remember YOU, and other posters saying we should have drafted him instead...where is he? Missed his rookie year with injury, solid second year, downhill ever since..
