Full Draft Big Board

Since 2000, White and Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher are the only two players in the NFL to amass 500-plus tackles, 20-plus sacks and 10-plus takeaways over the first five seasons. Since 2019, White leads all off-ball linebackers in quarterback hits and ranks second in sacks and fumble recoveries.Mar 5, 2024
Ok. He's on a 1.2 million dollar contract. What does that tell you. He's going to the HOF?

Anyone remember the two Devin's? Bush was worse but not a hell of a lot. White is on his third team. No one would have picked that outcome though in hindsight Devin Bush was way to puny.
You KNOW Clown-lin signed off on that pick, just brilliant.

He was looking pretty solid thru his second year until he tore his ACL. When he came back, he lost his speed, he didn't trust his instincts, and was constantly second guessing himself. He also said some pretty weird things... but, injuries can do that to a player

I thought he was better with Browns. He was same with Seahawks. Seemed like he sought out being blocked. I've never seen a player play that bad and get praise from announcers. He was ****** horrible.

Not only that, you can't just blanket statement things like that without looking at that particular draft. It wasn't a great draft overall. You can go down the list, and very few starters came from that draft from top to bottom. RB was REALLY weak as a hole, and that pushes guys like Najee up the draft. I agree, over drafted, and definitely not a bust, but I don't know where you would have drafted him other than the first. Even if you 20/20 hindsight draft, do you take Muth in the first and Creed in the second, take Creed first, Muth second? Najee in that draft, is at WORST a second round pick

To me, it comes down to either Najee or Pat, but not both.

Creed should have been taken in the second hands down. Our OL was complete garbage, Creed will be a 10+ yr pro bowler. That’s not hind-sight, I felt it at the time.

Putting myself back in time, I probably would have passed on Pat F. And taken Najee.

PS

If the Steelers feel like Dart is their guy, they need to put a package together and move up 10 (or what is required) spots to get him. Yes, even this year’s draft capital. They need that QB steadfast so as we can get out of this geriatric ****-ty mode that Shades has us stuck in.

EDIT: Part of this geriatric mode is two fold
1). The undefeated season, because without that……. What else does coach Tomlin have
2) Fear of having to develop a young QB and exposing his coaching abilities in that regards.

I'd like the Steelers to adopt the Jayden Daniel's VR training for all QBs asap.

Is Derrick Harmon of Oregon St. out of our league? Gone before 21?

His measureables fit the 3-4 prototype. Havent heard much about him,, and the Steelers havent invited him to visit.
They DID have Jamaree Caldwell in for a visit though.

Check him out here!
ooh,, hes good.

we do, but the Clown-lin way is of the Jedi, with the helmet/screen on backwards so as to build a 360-degree view around the QB. Pure geniusisity.

When you have to go back 35 years to find a star first round RB that produced super bowls for the team that drafted them, its not a selling point for drafting a RB in the first round....
And if you insist going back that far……he could at the very least use one of the greatest Persons to ever don the Steeler uniform. After all Franco did go #13 in the first. Using Emmitt Smith as an example over Franco should earn you at the least a month of silent contemplation.

The Steelers are bringing Tuten in. He ran a 4.3. I have mocked him many times to the Steelers in the 4th round, I believe. I don't know if he will make it that far but he is almost a clone of Fast Willie. The only negative for him is fumbling. If they draft him, all 3 of our RB's will have fumbling issues.

They've brought in Giddens, Sampson, Tuten, Blue, Gordon, and Johnson. Blue and Tuten were the two fastest backs at the combine, Giddens and Sampson are both 4.4 guys, and Gordon and Johnson were in the 4.5 range. I would pass on Tuten because of what you said, fumbles. Blue has the elite game speed too, without the fumbling issues. Johnson plays faster than his time shows, but isn't known as a burner but neither was Ward and he ran away from people with pads on.

It looks as though they are prioritizing speed with the backs they are bringing in and have talked to.

I definitely want speed as well for both RB and WR. You can't teach speed. Most people seem to dismiss Warren as a power back. He breaks tackles, has more quickness than speed and can gain a yard, if needed. I don't consider him a speed back but he has good vision and makes his first cut count. Najee ran a faster 40 time than Warren but it didn't look like it on the field. That is why I don't have a problem going with more of a true speed RB who is in the 200 to 210 pound size range.
