Today was a microcosm of this Steelers 2021 football team. This is not a good football team and there is plenty of blame to go around but this is who the Steelers are right now. I don't see this team winning another game the rest of this season.....the play calling is absolutely attrocious....Matt Canada should be FIRED and should have been FIRED at the BYE week. The O-line is absolutely pathetic! Dan Moore is and has been for most of the season terrible! Kendrick Green might be wearing Pouncey's #53 but that is where the similarities end. And Trai Turner...he's lost out there. There has been no improvement from the O-line in run blocking or pass blocking all season.......Adrian Klemm at some point needs to start taking the blame for it also. We have weapons on Offense but the lack of a competent O-line really makes it hard to see the potential there as the O-line can't run block or pass block.....saying that are bad is a understatement. Defensively whenever I see #55 Devin Bust out there on the field I almost feel like the Steelers are playing with just 10 guys Defensively. I'm all but ready to give up on him....he doesn't play the game with the passion a person needs to play at an NFL level. On the 2nd play from scrimmage Joe Mixon broke a run for 26 yds.....it was Bush's gap to fill but he was slow to get there and couldn't shed his block to fill the gap and make the tackle. Watch again the 2nd & Goal play for Cincy after Ben's INT in the 1st QTR and it's a handoff to Mixon.....he's stood up by Heyward at the 1 yd line but still fighting with Heyward to gain ground and you will notice Devin Bust is standing at the Goal Line instead of flowing to the ball carrier.......I hope I'm not the only one who saw that......It's like Devin Bush isn't playing with any heart out there. It's sad really because this is a another player in a long line of first round BUSTS since 2014 the Steelers have drafted and we traded up for that bum. Where's the INTENSITY DEVIN? Where's Your HEART? Just do the Steeler Nation a favor and ******* RETIRE ALREADY! YOUR A BUST! And your father is a ******* MORON if he can't see it! With our D-line it's a mess also minus Cam Heyward but he can't do it all himself. Loudermilk looks to have potential but it's going to take him another year or two to develop fully. Our secondary is another friggin mess too.....with the exception of Minkah Fitzpatrick none of these guys that started today are starting material in the secondary. And for ***** sake.....WHY OH WHY did we waste a draft pick on a ******* Punter? We let Jordan Berry walk for this Punter who is lucky if he can kick the ball 40 yds. Jordan Berry averaging 47 yds per punt and Harvin 43.5. It wasn't an upgrade, not even close to an upgrade. At some point all this decision making and the teams performance has gotta to reflect negatively on Tomlin. I've never really been a Tomlin fan as I've always felt he's underachieved with his teams especially the talent he had in 2015 - 2018. His head should be on the chopping block because I really think it begins and ends with him.

This week the GOAT goes to the FO and the offseason.

*Failed to truly address the offensive line. There were elite offensive lineman at OT, G, and C this year and they passed on every single one of them. Build your team in the trenches. Dumb.
*You let Hilton walk for peanuts and then traded Steven Nelson for absolutely no reason. Dumb.
*You sign Ingram to be a backup for a veteran minimum and trade him because he complains about playing time. Dumb.
*There are dozens of running backs available and you don't find a viable backup for Najee. His current backups offer nothing.
*You promote your OL coach and OC from within. Guys from the same staff that wasn't good enough to get the job done the previous year.

There could be more, but just a dumb and arrogant offseason from the front office thinking this team could actually contend this year.
 
All goats today. Mr Rooney is this what you want a team that shows no desire against a rival in a game need to be won and nothing but a big fat eggs laid. No Getty up and go. Coaches that cannot tech, cannot get a team ready. Please enough excuses for injuries, depth, bla bla bla. It is time for a big change.

Petty much spot on, the middle of the defense is a problem. The NT and both ILB are easy to run on and neither can do much vs the pass. I don't blame Canada for sucking, I blame Mike Tomlin for hiring him. The to swallow hard on that Tomlin contract, Mr. Art Rooney II.
 
Eh, I don't even really get upset anymore. This has been coming down the tracks for a while. I watch, cheer when appropriate, and do my best to move on quickly from disasters like today. No point dwelling on it. Nothing is going to change in the short term.

If they find anybody who can hit that tiny, shriveled, nearly-invisible sack, sign him as QB. He'd be more accurate than anybody else on the roster.
 
Don't forget Chuks on the OL. If Moore is bad at LT as a rookie, Chuks is a helluva lot worse moving to RT in his 4th year. Dude just sucks.

And, if Tomlin decided to put Heyward at NT then he must be the same moron who was going with 3 pass rushers again today - something I thought was in our hindsight after last year. Rushing 3 almost never works. If you don't put pressure on even a decent QB, he will find the open man and pick you apart.

If Tomlin knew how to coach, Bush would have been benched three games ago, needs to understand he's not playing up to a NFL level
But, instead put back on the field....anyone else could do the same, maybe, that next LB might seize the playing time...next man up right?

Tomlin CAN'T, WON'T motivate the lazy team he has created
He relies on splash plays, luck, and praying the other team makes more mistakes
Hey Rooney, that ain't how you coach to win! Move on, at least give the fans a ounce of hope

After 14 years I've learned it works like this. Bush was a high draft pick and therefor he will play. No matter how bad he is. We saw the same thing before with Jason Worilds and Jarvis Jones. I get that he was injured last year but if they bench him then they are admitting they made a mistake and one thing Tombert does is they never ever ever admit to a mistake. They will keep trotting marginal players out there hoping a switch goes off so they don't look stupid. The only time I recall that working was with Bud Dupree who magically got better with a new LB coach just in time to be a free agent. No, barring injury Devin Bush is going to start and he's going to play until his contract runs out no matter how bad he is because he was a first-round draft pick.
 
Mike Tomlin, Joe Walton, and a flaming bag of feces walk into a bar. Bartender says, "Which one of you smells so goddamn bad?" Nobody responds. Bartender then asks, "Which one of you had a superb roster and turned that into absolutely atrocious results?" Again, nobody responds. Bartender then says, "Goddammit, Tomlin, take the earphones out."
 
I'd give a game ball to Tuitt. I wouldn't play for this coach or this chicken **** outfit either. Their offseason moves were garbage and their coddling of Tomlin is a disgrace. Worst loss in 30+ years.

Me either, I reason if the team and management doesn't care, why should I? Watched the first half then went out and raked pine needles, and had a better time doing it..
 
Same **** every game. And Tomlin doesn’t give a rats ***… he’s got a cliche for everything. But he does absolutely NOTHING to fix things.

This team has no identity outside o like 5 players. All of Tomlins weak *** picks suck!

Game Ball: Chicoman, for being able to keep his emotions in check & type coherent sentences. I've been too irate to do so. We are bleeding from many wounds right now. Painful to watch.

I almost turned the Steelers off for the first time ever. Thisclose. But I kept it on, and was able to see Tomlin trot Ben out there down 41-3 with 6 minutes left, then inexplicably call a timeout on defense with less than two minutes left down 41-10.

Just a total embarrassment to be a Steelers fan today.
