Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's...........................vs Clowns......

Najee’s a stud. I’ll sarcastically talk **** cause he’s one them bammy roll tide wankers @bermudasteel @Paul G @warriors42

But the dude is a baller.
That said Hines is a HoF Stiller and Dawg
;)

Yes the Naj is a baller ......... ANGRY RUNS GMFB ...... called him OH you beautiful ******* ................................................................................................................................... last night is what we have to look forward to with an improved O line and a decent QB

less than a week to go my friend
Start praying for that divine intervention....
Remember even MOSES needed help to hold back a CRIMSON TIDE

Love Hines........... Not the size of the dawg in the fight but the size of the fight in the DAWG

Najee is the real deal! Please Steelers fix this OL in the off season. Early draft picks, free agency, but fix it. We need a center and a new LT. Move Big Dan to RT.
Big Dot better bring his fat *** in shape next season to play LG, and its open competition at RG between Leglue, Green, and bring in quality free agent. Then watch Najee!

What a great night to be a Steelers fan....have so many mixed emotions.....I remember Terry Bradshaw's last game on the road vs the NY Jets in what would be the last NFL game ever played at Shea Stadium when Bradshaw came off the bench to throw 2 TD passes despite his arm being completely trashed and playing in pain to propel the Steelers into the playoffs. This one hits me even harder because I know now Ben's not coming back to the Steelers in 2022. I'm honored to have witnessed his entire career as a Steeler and never missed a game. Seeing him walk the field and greet the fans and take it all in after the final kneel down was really cool. He really appreciates the fans and the city of Pittsburgh which is home for him. I got pretty emotional watching his kids and wife come onto the field seeing his kids run to their dad (knowing they just know him as dad).....it puts everything in perspective as a fan when you see someone like Big Ben as just a person and not an NFL player. On the game itself it wasn't a great night statistically for Ben but it sure was great to see him go out a winning QB at Heinz Field in his last home game of his career. I'm not sure who or what happened to the O-line tonight but they were firing off their blocks and blowing Cleveland's front 7 off the Line of Scrimmage most of the game. JC Hassenhauer certainly seemed to make a difference this week filling in for Kendrick Green. I tried to pay very close attention to the Steelers O-line tonight and they dominated tonight. I saw Hassenhauer and Leglue both get to the second level on their blocking several times tonight and opened up some good running lanes for Najee Harris who ran like a man possessed tonight and he had his best game yet as a pro in his rookie year. If Trai Turner's injury prevents him from playing next week I'm almost wondering if the Steelers plug Kendrick Green in at Right Guard next week. TJ Watt was a HOUSE OF FIRE tonight finishing with 4 more sacks to give him 21.5 on the season with one game to go. And to think TJ Watt has missed 3 games this season with injury. If the guy doesn't win DPOY this season there is something wrong! The guy was a complete game wrecker tonight...4 sacks 2 batted balls. Watt was getting held on almost every play tonight....he should have had one more sack and would have if the RT didn't grab hold of him. Unfortunately for Watt, Alex Highsmith on the other side got there for the sack. Cam Heyward also is worth mentioning I can't believe how high a level he is playing at in his 11th season. Loudermilk is really starting to come into his own on the D-line....Alot of people said he was a reach but I'm sure glad he's a Steeler. Combine him with Montravius Adams and the Steelers have 2 good, young promising D-linemen. Also no disrespect to Pressley Harvin but Corliss Waitman has won this punting job IMO and he should be our new punter going forward. I don't think this team is that far off from bring a serious contender but without Big Ben next season the Steelers have a GIANT missing puzzle piece to put in place and right now I don't feel the Steelers have a QB on this roster who can fill that void. Maybe, just maybe a miracle will happen next Sunday and it won't be Big Ben's last game as a Steeler. Seeing him choking back tears during the Post Game Interview really got to me, I must be getting soft in my old age. I just hope it's not another 23 years before the Steelers land another Franchise QB.

Post Game Per Tomlin's Presser:
Trai Turner has a knee injury that will be evaluated

Game Balls:
Ben Roethlisberger - Thank you for 18 wonderful seasons as the Steelers QB. I watched every game....can't believe this is the end......GO THRASH THE RATBIRDS ONE LAST TIME!
Najee Harris - 188 yds rushing, 3 rec 18 yds receiving......best game as a pro.
TJ Watt - a complete game wrecker....4 sacks giving him 21.5 on the season with 1 game to go to break Strahan's single season sack record.
Alex Highsmith - 2 sacks, 7 tackles......nice to see he's still improving after 2 seasons at OLB
Cameron Heyward - had a sack tonight and 2 batted balls, he really has dominated all season
Chris Boswell - he was money tonight 4 FG's including a 48 & 50 yd FG
Corliss Waitman - This guy should be our new punter going forward....far better than Harvin and it's not even close! Sorry Pressley

Game Goats:
Dionte Johnson - dropped several throws that he should have caught. He looked like Dionte 2020 tonight
Chase Claypool - Yup he belongs here too.....flopping all over the field and not making catches.

FU's:
FU to the Clowns & their Fans - HELLO CLEVELAND! HELLO CLEVELAND! Baker Mayfield is the perfect franchise QB for The Clowns! I hope he signs a 10 year Extension! A TURNOVER MACHINE HE IS!
Game Ball to JC Hassenauer for opening up running lanes. Kendrick Green better never play here again.

Najee "The Beast" Harris now has 1,172 yards rushing with 7 TD's and 440 yards receiving with 3 TD's for totals from scrimmage of 1,612 with 10 TD's. All of this behind the worst OL in the NFL. This is also in what would have been a normal 16 game schedule. He now gets a 17th game to add to these totals.

I'm sorry to the Najee haters/bashers (there are a few on here) but you have your heads up your *****. Doing what he has done behind this line is nothing short of incredible. He is one of the best in the league as a ******* rookie! Behind a decent O-line, he easily passes 2,000 yards from scrimmage and with fewer touches than this year.

Ben has had a great career, but I can't give him a game ball based on last night's performance. I mostly blame the play calling for that.

I would, however, give the offensive line a game ball. Best game they have had in some time.
It would have helped his game if his receivers had fought for and/or caught the ball. You'd have thought they would have had a good game for him, but they had one of their worst.

As consistently as we've been able to find diamond-in-the-rough WR's up and down the draft board, I wonder if we couldn't swap Claypool for a decent draft pick. Teams will put on his rookie tape and be mesmerized by his size & speed. Seems to be a fad around the league, maybe some GM falls for him. Something about Claypool bugs me, the way he's wired mentally.

Dotson could go back to his RG spot.

At the end of the end game when Ben talked to Green the kid had the 1000 yards stare in his eyes, his coaches broke him, now is start from scratch with him next season.

Yeah. I think he was better on the right than left. Hassenauer has to start against Baltimore. The dominant performance by the Oline was noticeable. I thought Okorafor was the weakest link though. He, LeGlue and Turner were actually working well with each other as far as interior linemen are concerned

Witherspoon is a keeper.

He plays the ball in the air really well. I cannot count the number of times I have seen Terrell Edmunds within 1' of a receiver as the ball arrives and he never makes a move to bat the ball down or pick it off.

Witherspoon lost Peoples-Jones on one pass that went a long way, but that is the nature of the beast for CB's in the NFL. Aside from that play, he was extremely solid. Batted two balls down and made an excellent interception. 9 passes defensed and three picks this season in limited duty this season. For comparison, in a LOT more playing time, Cam Sutton has 5 passes defensed and 1 interception, Haden has 6 passes defensed and no picks, and Edmunds has 3 (!) passes defensed and 1 pick.

Did anyone else have a problem with ESPN last night. Several dropouts and at least one time they repeated a series that had already been played. Also, I assume the Browns tried an onside kick and failed after the second score but never saw the play. Who recovered?

ESPN Latin America had no problems with he feed. Minkah recovered, the kicker switched field side before the kick

Better double down on all that stuff......... oh sorry ......... I guess you already started doing that .......my bad

Najee Harris. We're acting like he just "arrived" last night. This kid has quietly put together a monster season. So quietly that many of us, myself included, didn't realize that he was in the top five in the NFL in rushing yards and all purpose yards.
Seriously, let that sink in. Top 5 in rushing yards and all purpose yards ... behind that OL ... with Canada's play calling hardly ever putting him in a position to succeed. Amazing!
Can't wait to see what he can do behind a rebuilt, better offensive line.

I knew he was having a GREAT year, quietly putting it together. You could say near the same with TJ WATT, missing 3 3/4 game and yet he is where he is. Amazing how their stats addd up. LOVE IT LotSA

How about we get a coach who can "COACH UP" players with talent ?

I saw that like 118 of his yards came after contact, they need to get that line fixed asap or Harris won't be around long, he's taken a beating this season with this Oline.
181 of his 188 yards were after contact.

Agreed, TDX. We may not have a franchise QB heading into next year, but seems we've found a franchise RB for the next decade or so. Who knows how good this kid can be, running behind a physical, cohesive line?

A lot of repeat picks for me.

Game Balls:
-Najee Harris - Best rushing game of his career helped carry the Steelers to a win.
-TJ Watt - The only way he could've approached the sack record was having a James Harrison primetime-type performance. Yep, he had one of those. 4 sacks, could've had five and two passes batted down.
-Cameron Heyward - He continues to get better with age. One of the best IDL dominated yet again.
-Alex Highsmith - You can tell he's getting closer to being very good. Finally capitalized on some sacks and continued to play strong against the run.
-Chris Boswell - It was a field goal game for the Steelers and Boswell was clutch in cold conditions.
-JC Hassenauer - He's a below average player and looked like a Pro Bowler compared to Green. A reminder to the franchise the importance of having a competent center in this offense. Helped the ground game to have its best day of the season.
-Isaiahh Loudermilk - Not a stellar game by any means, but I liked what he showed in his development. Nice run defense, a batted down pass, and drew two holding calls.
-Ahkello Witherspoon - Where was he all season? He's been nothing but solid since entering the starting lineup and is becoming a player they have to bring back in the offseason.

Game Goats:
-Wide receivers - Diontae has reverted to the 2020 version of DJ. I'm tired of Ray-Ray as a receiver. Claypool is the softest big receiver in the league. Can he stay on his feet or make a tough catch for once? Complete waste of talent at times.

Game GOAT:
-Ben Roethlisberger is one of the greatest athletes to ever play in Pittsburgh and one of the best QBs ever in the NFL. His last game was such a special moment and to play the toughest position in sports for 18 years in one city is something we may never see again. Congratulations on a great career and thank you for the memories!
