Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's..............Week 11.............vs Ratbirds

Game ball: Zach Frazier for agitating the Ravens defenders and getting to the second level a ton.
I am rewatching, right now, and McCormick is gonna be a stud. Along side Frazier our interior line will be a force as they gain more experience...

Did Mike Williams play today? Didn’t see him targeted.
Team needs to sit Jefferson and let Scotty Miller and Mike Williams get snaps.
Jefferson simply is not good.
Williams got something like 9 snaps vs 32 for Jefferson
Actually I read he got 25 snaps but zero targets.
I guess still learning the playbook and building rapport with Russ.

Game ball for everyone we beat the Ravens.
You may not like Jones but he stands up for fellow players
Nothing for officials that can't see who starts what and flags two players,, Ravens were fined 75,000 dollars last week get it refs.

I really think the goal was to give the Steelers a losing season. They'd have to lose every single game left for that to happen.
...and lets not forget that Hard Knocks is going to start filming. Insert distractions to an undisciplined team.

i was glad to see Fields come in on certain packages today...
Should have brought Fields in on several other botched short yardage situations as well, but you've got to start somewhere, I guess. That Wilson QB sneak was just pathetic.

I really thought Russel Wilson played like **** today I would have given him a goat just for that pick in the endzone, that cost us a sure three points and you pay him not to make those mistakes. He just looked bad when he scrambled, threw some one hoppers, and took way to many sacks. really made me miss the days of Big Ben. Just like Tyson I think Russ is starting to look his age, there were a couple times where I thought he could have taken off for the first down
The toss to the end zone was not too smart. He made some big throws though while under a lot of pressure. Still need someone to step up as #2.

Funny you mention Ben because Russ played like Ben would many times against them...except with Ben it was over throws and sacks.

I'm sure it has to do with the playbook. Word on him is while great physically he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Some, including myself, anoint McCormick as the biggest surprise of our draft. In reality he is playing as he has played most of college career. Small school USA boy, playing his asZ off.

I think Jefferson is getting more reps due to his blocking ability VS Williams.

We are a power run team and blocking is so important, that it’s a priority. Muth is getting low snap / target counts due to his lesser ability of blocking VS Washington. Muth’s target and catch rate is like 31 / 36, a GREAT ratio, but in this game I think he was targeted 2 times and caught both. Washington was targeted 4 times. Washington is astronomical in the blocking world.

EDIT: To add, I think both Muth and Washington had near same snap count, close to 42 each.

I know some were a bit overconfident in what Williams would bring to the table as a potential legit WR2 after his game-winning TD a couple of weeks ago, but we've seen since that he can barely get any snaps and isn't getting any targets. Even so, design some targets for him to try to take size mismatch, such as on a 2-point conversion attempt rather than a fade to the No. 3 running back.
