Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's...........week 4 vs Vikings.....

I’d be willing to bet that quite a few NFL cities have a significantly higher violent crime rate than Dublin.

Depending on the year you’ll have a different most dangerous NFL city, but you can always count on a decent bit of crime in ATL, CHI, NO, WAS keeping them in the running for the title. Major cities like NY and LA can always factor in too…**** Peezy got shot in Denver…freakin’ Denver

Not sure what Dublin’s crime rate is like for comparison purposes.

The Bears don’t play in Austin or Englewood, they play on the lake in a wealthy neighborhood. Now, the Sox, Blackhawks, and Bulls?

Goat and FU to Mike Tomlin, he had nothing to lose going for it on 4th down at the end of the game. 9 ******* inches for a first and that chickenshitmotherfucker punts. the next time I hear that cocksuckerpussybitch say he doesn't live in his fears i'm gonna need a new TV.
Need to get an older CRT TV you can kick around and you get hurt - not the TV.

I get sick of criticizing Tomlin, but you’re 100% right

On top of that it looked like Rodgers bullied Tomlin into going for it in 4th down from the 3 yard line. On top of that it was a stupid play call to run it on 4th down from the 3 yard line-way too hard to convert. If you’re going to go on 4th down from the 3 yard like put it in Rodgers hands.

Tomlin just looks lost and inept in so many situations where he should be a difference maker in a positive way

I wonder what Rodgers thinks of Tomlin as a head coach now 4 games in…the look on his face when he glares at the sideline looks like he’s thinking wtf are we doing and is about to lose his mind over the play calling and decision making

I predict an Aaron melt down.

As a head coach you have to be one play ahead of yourself. He had to say to himself in his own mind if we dont score on the goal line Im taking the points. Instead it was a classic Mike Tomlin magic eight ball momemt.

You may have left out Baltimore and Philly.

The only time I was in Detroit, for an engineering conference like 20 years ago, I was scared as hell, stayed in a cheap hotel downtown and every time I walked outside to get a bus to the convention and back i truly felt my life was at risk, and I went there from a 3rd world country.

If Rodgers bullied Tomlin into making the call to go for it, then why didn't Rodgers also override the playcall?

So, how about Herbig? Dude is a freakin' baller! Will they end up keeping both him and Highsmith, or will they look to trade one?
$62m in cap space tied up in Watt and Highsmith for each of 2026 and 2027. With Herbig presumably at $10m+ per annum once his rookie contract ends I don't think the Steelers can afford all three after 2026, unless they perform some Olympic gold worthy salary cap gymnastics on Watt's contract. Given their relative ages, I think the Steelers will trade Highsmith and keep Herbig unless they can't come to a contract agreement with Herbig. I believe the Steelers drafted Sawyer to be the future number three, knowing that they wouldn't be able to afford Watt, Highsmith and Herbig once Herbig's rookie contract ends.

As an aside Watt's contract makes him reasonably tradeable as most of his guaranteed money is base salary, not signing bonus, therefore dead cap if Watt is traded is manageable.

Good question because the call to run on 4th and goal from the 3 yard line was atrocious-as was the Chinese fire drill of running the field goal team on and off the field

Rodgers was absolutely waving the field goal unit back and back they went

I'm going to give a game ball to Wilson and Broderick Jones for their effort and hustle. Wilson tracked Addison down like a raptor trailing his prey. Loved it!! Jones hustling down field with Rogers escaping the pocket and picking up a fumbled ball. McCormick was just behind him. Outstanding effort all the way around.

The problem with Wilson is he is usually trailing his prey rather than pouncing on it in the backfield for a kill.

That whiff sack attempt is usually what ya see from Wilson when he does manage to track the ball
Into the backfield. He is a plus as a coverage backer but definitely still a minus in the run game and pass rushing.

I liked the pick and am rooting for the kid but damn he needs some strength or something cuz all he does is try to avoid contact, take poor angles trying to run around opponents and trail plays…dude needs to add a touch of weight, a lot of strength if he wants to become a real playmaker.

But slow clap for delaying the eminent TD the Vikes were about to get by chasing down his prey.
I’ll be impressed when he isn’t getting thrown around like a rag doll every time an opponent gets hands on him.

He’s got a ton of potential, a ton of growth opportunities to become a solid backer.

Beat me to it.
GOAT:
Shades for going turtleball again in the 4th quarter.

Tomlins decisions may be infuriating but he wins close games better than the vast majority and there are only a few who are close. HE is way above the mean in winning percentage in close games and it is a large sample size. He has to be doing something well. Since 2015 we are by far the best franchise at winning close games. I would love to not have to win so many close games, but I will always take the wins. It helps my cardio training.

As I sit here today I agree with you and applaud the 3-1 start, and Tomlins role in it, which as you elude to 3-1 is really all that matters at this point. They did step up in level of opponent IMO yesterday and got a win.

We will see how it plays out going forward

Nothing of what I am about to say is meant Neg toward you, but think of it this way. Mike Tomlin's reg season winning percent is 63, playoffs are 42 so if what you are saying about close games is true, which I have NO reason to doubt you then that means most of our loses are by blowout. so we are blown out of regular season games over 30 percent of the time and playoff games over 50 percent of the time. and he is worried about taking chances???? I just don't get it.
