Tomlin signed a 3 year extension this off season.....that on top of the last year of his contract which was this current season. Minimum 3 more years....depending how close he is in wins(all-time) and all. I could see them extending him again.

That isnt how contracts work. Once someone gets an extension, the prior contract is null amd void. So his contract is up in two seasons

They will extend him though if the non losing season record is still on the line which it should be.

Until the Steelers stop using QB retreads, they will always live in the world of mediocrity. They have to draft a decent QB and build a team around him. Otherwise they will be a perennial mediocre team which will be fortunate to win a playoff game.

But therein lies the conundrum that has befallen our beloved Steelers… with legendary coach Mike Tomlin, perennial king of the non-losing season, we will be drafting in the low 20’s from here ever after. Not too many consensus franchise QBs available there.

Yet another December collapse spilling over into January for our one-and-done playoff appearance. Yeah, I have to believe the Russell Wilson experiment is over. At this point, I am over George Pickens. I don't care how talented the guy is. He has Antonio Brown written all over him. As for Tomlin, if he gets embarrassed in the playoff game, I hope that will be enough to move on from.

I predicted this 4 game losing streak and said we'd be one and done in the playoffs. I wanted desperately to be wrong, but here we are.

Just figured we'd be headed to Buffalo to get destroyed instead of Baltimore.

This offense has no business being anywhere near the playoffs. from the Head coach, to the OC, to the QB, our receiving corps (minus Muuth) and our god awful O-line.

Time to tear it down and do a proper rebuild. Sucks for TJ and Heyward but this franchise isn't contending for quite a awhile.

I just googled it. It says Tomlin is signed thru 2027. That is 3 more seasons.

I had the Bungles at 32-24. Didn't take into account that the temps would keep the score down. This is why I don't bet real money.
