This is true,,but what also is true,………..the HC put both units together as a team. The HC hires the cordinators and has implemented the scheme as well.

To exonerate the HC is ridiculous. All teams have injuries, and Coach Tomlin has used / rode that excuse way past belief, so one can see that it is time for change, regardless of excuse.

That’s a staple of our schematic “D”. Tomlin scheme and sure as hell has been happening way WAY way to long.

Yeah, but as about a hundred others have pointed out - this is a message board about a professional sports team nobody on this forum owns, runs, or coaches in any fashion. If we limited ourselves to things that are "up to us," we would have the Concession Forum and nothing else.

Neither Noll nor Cowher EVER had 7 consecutive seasons without a playoff win. Neither Noll nor Cowher had a HOF QB that resulted in a terrible offense. Neither Noll nor Cowher ever ran a team that could NOT stop the opponents' running game. Neither Noll nor Cowher took over a loaded roster just a couple years off a SB championship and ran it into the ground.

So enough with the "they didn't fire Noll or Cowher" mantra.
