Geathers and Foster went at it in practice

The coach dictates practice habits good or bad.

It looks like another knock on Tomlin.

Perhaps the Giants coach gets fired, he would fit in well in Black n Gold.................

I never knew that was Vince Vaughn.........interesting tid bit

I didn't realize it either about the first ten times I watched it. Then one day I was watching and the part came on where a few players are standing in the parking lot to confront Rudy about practicing to hard and they showed his face from the side, I was like holy **** that's a very young Vince Vaughn.

"The last practice of the season and this ******* thinks it's the Superbowl!!!!"

I wonder if Foster yelled something similar before going after Geathers. Pathetic.

i would love tom coughlin except that he seems to be about done with his coaching days, how old is he now??

I have to wonder why so many negatives on Foster for going after someone who takes a cheap shot at a teammate. Was Geathers practicing how to draw a penalty for a late hit? That's not practicing "hard" to me. And if anyone would want to see how Lambert would react watch the Gerela/Cliff Harris SB incident. Seems like a valid veteran reaction to me.

no nonsense coach, he is up there

But haven't heard anything about a plan to retire

Coughlin is like 90 years old. He's done once he leaves the Giants.

Plus, There's a strong push in NYC for him to officially "retire"/be unofficially fired

He and their GM have been as bad as Tombert when it comes to assessing and developing personnel in recent years.

where does it say anything about it being a "cheap shot"? All I read is that he pushed "someone" to the ground...maybe that "someone" was foster himself and was embarrassed for getting his *** whipped by the new guy? I expect to hear about fights and tussles during the dog days of training camp, but this story isn't "typical". no doubt about it, our team's mentality, is that of a soft mentality. I've been saying that Wallace needs to permanently replace Foster all season, Foster is a load of lard who just occupies space.

That's it....new meme.

Then again, perhaps NOT. Tomlin definitely isn't the coach, but Coughlin, even though they rhyme, isn't going to be our future coach either. We need hard nosed, foot ball knowledge, but NOT a total control freak. I thought I heard one time, if you show up right on time for a meeting, Coach Tom considered you 5mins late. To much mind game type of guy.

No where have I read cheap shot???? Where are you getting this from??? I see LAZY *** lard all over this. Work Harder as that is what team mates are for, to push you harder. Maybe foster's statement is out of context, but none the less, it was said. Shut up, WORK, earn your keep or place.

Salute the nation

hahaha, that's his military background coming out right there.

it's pretty much common knowledge in the Army, that if you're not 10 minutes early for formation, you're late. NOBODY wants to be the guy rolling up to formation just as the 1st Sergeant and/or Sergeant Major is calling "Fall In"

Way to BANG!!

Awesome.....notice how no one in the room cares what Tomlin is saying. He commands no respect it doesn't look like.

And as far as Foster complaining that the new guy came in all hard with cheap shots and all, I compare this too someone new starting in my weld shop and doing more work than the lazy *** thats been there for 20 years, because they need the job. Every time that happens in my shop, everyone one of the fat cats get pissed at him, cuz they think he is trying to make them look bad. To me thats the real story here with Foster.

I hope he gets a helmet and plays with that fire this Sunday...hopefully it lights a fire under the rest of the defense.

Camp, training and practices have been severely limited by the new CBA. The coaches need to demand full speed and full participation at the practices they do have. This is 100% on Tomlin and the coaching staff letting this team practice soft. It sure as hell shows on Sundays. If you don't practice full out, you WILL NOT improve. That is why we HAVE NOT improved. The Rooney's need to demand more or Tomlin and the rest must go.

But Munchak doesn't agree with you. Guess who's opinion I'd take. But I'm sure you have better credentials.

like i give a flying **** if an offensive line coach "agrees with me", and i damn sure dont give a **** who's opinion you take. My opinion is my opinion, I never claimed it to be anything more than that

In the face of undeniable evidence, some people still throw in with the logical fallacy of appealing to those authorities who ruled over the very problem under debate. You really can't argue with these types. It's very global warmingish.

Good job Geathers of rising above ***** mode in practice.
