Giants Claim Quincy Roche

There is no reality where I would keep Roche over Jamir Jones. You guys have to give props to a kid that was undrafted and just kept getting better each day. Enough so that he pushed Marsh AND Roche off of the roster.

Still the last 2 Steelers drafts, only 2 players aren't on their team. Brooks (Rams) and Roche (NYG). They are still in the league, and on the PS, so they are each just a phone call away if we have depth issues and need a call up to the roster!

This.. he's only on thier PS we can have him back today if we cut someone and sign him back to our active roster.. it's just that easy.

all comes down to sp. value. They kept 4 edge and 5 inside backers because the inside guys were better on sp teams. Jones beat Roche for the the 4th edge spot that is why Roche is not on the team. You would have all your starters plus your immediate backup. Then the remaing say 5 /6 spots come down to Sp. Value. Think of it this way. They drafted Jones instead of Roche.

Yeah, Jamir jumped Roche and Marsh on the depth chart to make the team. I know it might not be saying much with Marsh, but going into camp, Marsh was a solid #4/ST option that they would’ve been fine with going into week 1. It says a lot that Jones did what he did to make the team in that regard.

Still undervalued edge rushing is always going to be a problem here…
