Its actually smart... go where there is a legit QB coach, have a shot to start if there is an injury, particularly in the playoffs... if you can fix a few issues and show it off in a game, your price goes up a ton in the offseason
I thought his best option would be going to a contender. Minnesota isn't the top contender, but a good one in a relatively thin NFC field. Plus he goes to a coach who's done a terrific job with Darnold.
