Gilbert Was Healthy And Didn't Start?

It seems like Adams has played in the most productive offensive games. Didn't he start in the 2, 6 TD games?

Adams started against Indy...not known for their edge rushing, also started for New Orleans, Cincy and Atlanta. It hurts us offensively when we have to play either Spaeth or Miller outside of Adams to make sure he is protected. KC and Justin Houston, Tomba Hali will be a big test. We may have to play Spaeth more knowing we cannot keep them out of the backfield without help whether Gilbert starts or not.

Do you remember that one OT that we kept resigning to one year deals, or would bring him in cause of injury? Paid him big bucks. (max starks) Do you think Adams could ever end up in a place like that? Lazy @ss to start his carreer, not taking a beating, then finally "gets" it, and now we need him?

None of our tackles are what I would call good. I watched one play that involved Beachum getting knocked flat on his *** by a defender. All of them need help. At least with Beachum he is out performing where he was drafted. Both Gilbert and Adams were second round selections and have not played as well as they should given their respective draft positions. I hope they make a big jump next year in their level of performance.

I think they gave Gilbert the big deal b/c of the amount of fat and weight he sledded , entering camp and now compared to his first few years it looks like he has went from 330 reported at combine to it looks like 315.
Last year there was some rumblings that they were going to flip him to LT but the ol coach elected to start Adams, until MT benched Adams for KB.Gilbert does not have the feat to play LT but he can be be a decent plug in Rt starter till his deal expires he just needs to be quicker at kicking out to the edge, a much better aggressive run blocker than Adams.
Vs KC Haley knowing Smith, Charles, Bowe will have to limit the 5 wide set and use more trip sets with Miller and Bell in to block vs Justin Houston, Tamba Hali, is no longer a elite pass rusher and I think Beachum can contain him.
I think both Gilbert @ Adams will get better with more time with Munchak, I would like to see Adams possibly to LG, at 6"7 320 he is quicker and more agile then Foster, we are committed to the zone so no harm in trying him at LG, I was hoping we could of kept Wesley Johnson but what can ya do.
