what about the other players? the teammates he QUIT on? is that game meaningless to them, also? if it was that meaningless, then he should have never suited up, never even practiced leading up to the game and let his coaches and teammates know prior that he was not going to play, that he has an NFL future to think of and an injury would risk that. It's called courtesy. and shows respect to his teammates. and the coaches. Courtesy and respect are quite uncommon in your world, obviously. Think his teammates who do not have an NFL future consider that game "meaningless"? Think they really appreciated him bailing on them when they needed him most? oh, I almost forgot who this response was to.

BOTH of the jackasses who QUIT on their team are full on quitters.

I just put a chicken in the oven. Seasoned it yesterday. Skin gets super crispy that way.
Have garden potatoes that I am going to bake with it. Olive oil , kosher salt and pepper on the outside skin of potatoes. Damn good dinner for the new year

Not sure why people are so upset about this. Some guys opt out of the bowl games all together. I personally do not like it, but would you rather be pop-tarts bowl champion or make millions in the NFL with a chance at a SB. There have been guys that suffered catastrophic injuries in basically meaningless bowl games that have seriously hurt their draft stock and career in general.

yeah... that first report was the day of the game. NOW they're saying it was the intention all along.
looking at the pictures from the game, it doesnt appear that was the intent.

i still stand by my statement that if you quit on a team during the game, then you've quit on your teammates and are NOT ... 100% NOT ... giving a backup a "courtesy" to get playing time.

It's way worse. If you say you're not playing because you're going pro and don't want to get hurt, it's a business decision. But if you play just long enough to get a personal record then take yourself out, it's a middle finger to your teammates. If Miami players are down with this then that's why they're losing because they recruit selfish players.

If I was a GM, i would not draft Ward over this. Do you want Cam Newton not diving on a fumble in the Super Bowl? Maybe he'll be a good pro. I'd rather draft guys who are team players and care about winning more than their contracts.
