Gotta give Trubisky props

There is nothing that would make me happier than to have Mitch beat out Pickett.

That's just not gonna happen IMO (unless Pickett just completely forgets how to throw a football). Colbert and Tomlin aren't going to let their last first rounder together flounder against a guy they got for basically peanuts. As much as it should be the best candidate winning the job, we know that just doesn't happen anymore in many areas of work.

Nobody... NOBODY thought Curt Warner would/ could do what he did.

I dont dislike picket. I just think we had viable options already and could have used the pick elsewhere.

Just dont have any confidence that the QB competition is going to sincerely "open" but i guess we will cross that when / if we come to it.

I think that despite what they say, the front office wants to sit Pickett for a year… doesn’t fit the narrative but I suspect unless he outright forces them to give it to him, Mitch gets a season to prove himself

They would be wise to let Pickett learn behind the scenes for a year. If the line is anywhere near as dumpster-fire as they were last year, they'd just be destroying his confidence putting him out there.

Then BEN turned a 180 and helped Mason to his full degree and stated he like him in his ability and as a tammate. Initially BEN was pissed but once they got going in OTAs and Training Camp BEN changed big time.

LOL...did you ever watch the games? Ben never even spoke to Mason. He would walk over talk to Dobbs NEVER, as in NEVER a word to Mason. I would specifically watch that when they would call T.O. and Ben would head to the sidelines. Mason and Dobbs would walk over with the O.C. Ben NEVER had a word to say to Mason. Very telling with all the goodbye videos to Ben from team mates and NOTHING from Mason. Yeah Ben was just a little salty....just a little.

Wow, great insightful post. You have better vision than anybody else here.

Ben defended Mason during the Tug-A-helmet incident. Ben helped Mason during his rookie TC. (and the rest of them as well)

What you see on the side lines during a game is not unnecessarily the context of what is actually happening.

Ben hardly ever talked to "surfer dude" Haley (OC) but routinely conferred with Fitchner and then back to Haley.

Some teams use their "clip board" QBs to communicate and some don't. I'm sure BEN was doing what it takes to try and win and that means communications time available meaning he doesn't have time to engage in pleasantries.

ONE last thing Grasshopper, I have watched at least ONE Steelers game in my lifetime.

Have a great day and enjoy your opinion.

Lol me bad! I’ve already moved on from trubisky! Like the dude in the meme where he walking down the street with his girl and one more beautiful walks by. I can’t help It! Kenny’s our qb! been going back breaking down his tape more I watch more I like. He’s more Brett Favre that Big Ben which is not a bad thing. his throwing motion is great he throws the football like he’s throwing a baseball and he throws strikes! he is accurate. An accurate qb can make average wrs into star players. It’s going to be awesome watching this kid take over his home town team and move them to a Super Bowl! Goodbye Mitch! We hardly knew ya!! GoSteelers!

Dong Sack sure doesn't waste time jumping at the opportunity to bash Ben!

Some like to carry an agenda to make themselves feel better by knocking someone else down.

I try to say it the way I see it and appreciate your post(s) for that as well. I'm open to listen but no one is 100% correct 100% of the time. It's opinions and they can change like underwear in ******** contest but still one must remember their mannors and try to treat them as you want to be treated,

All good here & no worries

Wrong. Watch any other NFL team and you will see the starter chatting away with the backups, not 7 though other than with Dobbs.
And Ben did not help Mason. Remember " It's not my job to help him." Yeah ...that guy.

Again: Ben helped Mason SO much that Mason returned the favor by giving him the middle finger salute as 7 rode off into the sunset.

I get it your 40 or whatever going on 12, and Big Dummy is your hero. Enjoy your fathead.

I've got to say...
Initially I was lukewarm on the Trubisky signing, but after about a weekend I came around to it. IN THEORY...
Mitch would be a great fit for the offense Canada wants to run.

Drafting Pickett was a headscratcher for me, but here we are as Steeler fans.

There is nothing that would make me happier than to have Mitch beat out Pickett.
Nothing would make me happier than to see Rudolph beat both of them and start game 1, then go on to have a #10-20 season and win a playoff game for a change.

Then again an 0-17 season might get rid of Tomlin. Kind of torn here.

Thanks Poster Boy and even at 12 I seem to be a few years older in maturity than you.

Have a great day.

Maddox??? What about Big Ben?
Lest we forget when Rudolph was drafted.

Ben even cried to Fitchner and Tomlin.
Nice revisionist history... Ben wasn't crying.... He reacted like any competitor for a high-profile job would when lesser competition is brought in as a replacement... In fact, that quote, "I was surprised they took a QB because I thought maybe in the 3rd round you can get some really good players that can help this team win now." was more of a sick-brag, i.e. 'I'm surprised they thought they needed a 2nd rounder to replace me... instead of a third...' Even that wasn't enough, as evidenced by the Steelers taking Pickett in the 1st...

Mitch is the "iron" in camp that Coach T talked about... He will sharpen the "iron" that is Kenny Pickett. Mason will do the job he is the best at Mason Rudolph is an experienced back-up.... Whoever excels between Mitch and Kenny will start, and Kenny is ready to start... Mitch will be number 3...

“If Mitch and Kenny are 1&2 then whoever loses the battle will be 2…unless KP looked so overwhelmed that they red shirt him at the 3 spot for his first year. Almost zero chance Mitch is 3.

Rudy doesn’t skip over one of them just because he’s been a backup. If one of Mitch/Kenny looks like steaming garbage that is where Rudy will enter the convo.

To think he’s locked into #2 already makes zero sense. If that were the case then he would be in the battle for starter…which is a whole other story.

Mason and Olakudon are 3 and 4, with Mason thus far entrenched as the 3

Back-up QB is a different position than starting QB... It's like Right offensive tackle and Left offensive tackle... Mason may be the third best starting QB in the locker room, but he is the BEST backup QB there...

Did you think before you wrote this?? "If Mitch and Kenny are 1&2..." If one is QB1, where's the other?? Duh... QB2, you said that, already.... If either can do the job as backup better than Mason Rudolph (they can't...) they'll be QB2...
