Gruden Sueing NFL and Goodell

Can someone fill me in with the cliff notes?

What is Gruden suing the league for specifically?

Because of all of the emails that they sorted through about the Washington formerly Redskin organization being sexual neanderthals, the only thing that was released was a couple of off-colored emails from Gruden. He was obviously the scapegoat. Note that nothing else has been found. Gee, I wonder if the server crashed and there was no backup just like the IRS with the issues with right-wing non-profits.

Won't claim Gruden is a saint but it does smell like all the NFL needed a diversion for all of the other crazy crap that might be in the records. Gruden happened to be that sacrificial diversion.

he's saying that the NFL leaked an email to make him look bad then pressured the raiders to fire him. When the raiders initially refused, the NFL threatened them and then after that some "leaked" emails appears in the media to force the raiders hand. He's saying the NFL broke their own protocols by leaking emails and by keeping the investigate into Washington a secret. NFL even ignored a demand from Congress for documents.

He's pretty much saying that Goodell didn't like being called a ***** so he targeted Gruden and used it as a distraction to cover up that the NFL completely botched an investigation of sexual harassment with Washington.

IMO, if Gruden does want revenge, he doesn't need to win money, he just needs to to win discovery of league emails and then show how Goodell ignored the Washington situation and embarrass several league executives.

Talking **** on email is usually a two way street. Gruden must have his own emails saved.

Eh. The older I get the less I prioritize pro sports. Life is too short to tune in daily, weekly, for 3 hours. I can utilize that time to take my boys out shopping or to the park or teaching them amateur furniture building skills.

I tune in still, but casually. I try to catch big rivalry games for the Pens. I only saw the last half today for the Steelers and that was some God awful sloppy football played

You could always find out where Goodell lives, climb to the top of the building with a cinder block and try to drop it on his head as he enters the building.

I mean, the splatter alone would be worth it.
