Just the facts:
About 400 million metric tons of hazardous wastes are generated each year. The United States alone produces about 250 million metric tons. Americans constitute less than 5% of the world's population, but produce roughly 25% of the world’s CO2, and generate approximately 30% of world’s waste.
(1) CO2 is not a pollutant. You lose credibility in claiming that it is in fact a pollutant.
(2) The United States generates 30% of the world's "waste." What constitutes "waste" according to that Wikipedia reference? Beats me, since the footnote the Wikiepedia article cites in support does not exist. Specifically, the article cites this:
http://www.oregon.gov/DAS/FAC/docs/ww092001.pdf
And this article, which contains nothing other than a quick article summary with no mention of waste, what constitutes waste, or how much the United States produces:
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/washington/articles/2006/08/31/alarm_sounds_on_us_population_boom/
Therefore, your Wikipedia reference finds no support for the key proposition you make - NONE. You really need to learn to investigate issues, and stop re-posting garbage from Wikipedia.
(3) Okay, for the sake of discussion, let's presume that the United States produces 30% of the world's "waste," whatever that is. How much does the United States treat, or process, or eliminate? And how much of the world's food does the United States produce?
Data show that the United States is the most secure nation in the world at food production, and exports a tremendous amount of its food production. Specifically, the USDA reports that "American farmers export 45 percent of their wheat, 34 percent of their soybeans, 71 percent of their almonds, and more than 60 percent of their sunflower oil," as well as 20% of their corn production.

The United States feeds the world.
So, Tibs, to reduce the "waste" that concerns you, exactly which people would you kill? It is a serious question. The United States can reduce its production and use of Nitrogen in food production, and thus reduce "waste." but at what cost?
Seriously, whom do you think deserves to die? Please, share with us.
