Hall of Fame Game Day Steelers vs Cowbrats 8pm fox

So, the thing I wanted to see was who would be our backup ILB(s) ... Sadly, in the first half, I did 't see anyone who looks like they can fill that position.
Rudolph didn't hurt himself or do anything to lose the #2 position.
Haskins had good ball placement, but was let down by receivers. So, he didn't hurt himself, but didn't do anything to move up to the #2 position.

I don't know. I would have liked to see Haskins chuck that ball downfield with one second left. Meh....the safe kneel down probably was the right call....with the chance of an injury and all.

Nise-ly wander indeed.

Well I know it's only been a half of pre-season football but so far here are a few guys IMO that have stuck out in a good way.....

Dionte Johnson on Offense, on Defense Highsmith, Norwood, Pierre, Loudermilk. Harvin the new Punter looks like a lock!

Guys who haven't looked very good so far...Ulysses Gilbert III, Robert Spillane (he seems slow, unlike years past)

2nd Half I'm interested to see Rico Bussey, Roche looks like an interesting prospect at ROLB late in this 2nd QTR.

I see trouble for our O-line & ILB we need better depth there behind Spillane & Bush. Right now I'm not very comfortable with Spillane as our starting ILB if he keeps playing like he has tonight.

Pierre’s the only silver lining to this bad group of backup DBs… with Norwood getting a pass…
Dallas really game planned and only has 3 points. I'm not going to say that we've put any real defensive schemes out there. We know that Coach Butler will have this defense ready by Week 1...

Haskins will have more than 1 drive and will score more than Rudolph.

Our starting O line tonight isn't featuring a single projected starter except for maybe Green. If Moore starts, it's because Chucks is hurt. I'm not worried about our O line yet. This line played the entire 1st half, so it's good they get the work.

Harvin is our next punter. I screamed the loudest for his punt over any other play this game. Steelers wanted to get rid of Berry last year. If this competition is close, Harvin wins for upside and cost. First punt was a skyrocket! Love this kid!!

Coach Austin is preaching the wrap with the lead arm and punch with the other arm to the DBs this year. Layne has had 2 of them. One hit the ground for a TO. This is excellent coaching. TOs over yardage all day in this league.

Spillane is fine. He's playing w/ second and third stringers tonight

Jamir Jones has flashed a lot during camp from the things I've read. More so than Roche.

Nice return by Sexton.
