Hmmmm… worst coach in NFL

I've said for a long time that Shades is a top five head coach but that's more because there are a lot of bad coaches.
This isn't the 70's when there were literally 7 or 8 future HOF coaches on the sidelines every week.

Worst coach In the nfl with above average to good talent. Art Rooney II is a bigger problem. Yo Art you’re not likely going to find another hall of fame qb in your life time. The data is the data. 2nd worst on the nfl.

Just remember this is analytical data, NOT a complete foray of actual ability. In the analytical world the data came out as it did BUT in the real world, it is only a part of the grade.

Many here want to judge you on one aspect of your personal life, the LUXURY car. I chose my LUXURY S10 to mock and claim notoriety through you. I have multiple vehicles but only chose the LUXURY S10 to talk and relate to.

Coach Tomlin has multiple parts to his coaching game so don't take this analyticle portion and judge the full package.

NOTE: I think it is time for new blood through out the organization but that guy who makes the decisions doesn't.

I know there is a few in here that are happy with Tomlin and want him to coach with no end date. And that is their opinion that probably won't go unchanged. But that pendulum of bad decisions has to sway back towards good decisions with or without him. He has been in it a long time in the Not For Long league. I want a competitive team not just at the middle of the season. I want one toward the end and if they are playing in the playoffs I want that to be competitive too. At least that. I want more but at least that. If the pendulum doesn't start to swing in that direction and no changes are made those ugly moments will multiply. A defensive player of the year deserves better than that. A top tier FS deserves better than that. A try hard RB that is held back by a bad Oline deserves better than that. Steelernation deserves better than that.

I think you will see his best coaching this coming year. He will no longer have the crutch of Ben. It doesn't mean we will win a lot of games necessarily but he will have to shoulder more without Ben. I could be wrong but I hope I am not.

Not sure I buy that. Wouldn’t it make more sense to ensure your players are coached up and ready WHILE you have a QB like Ben so that you have a better shot at a SB? You’re either a good coach or you’re not. I’m not sure you can just turn that on and off.

And what more could he shoulder? He already calls the defense. He gonna call the offense now too?

We won 1 game on a blocked punt for a score ( very rare ) and beat Seattle without Wilson in OT with the backup qb from the jets. Happy?

Art2 is the problem, he keeps Tomlin

So Art will be your new thread to thread to thread ***** or will you float between him and Mike? You could call them Mooney or Arlin in between licking that bathroom mirror from top to bottom.

Matter of fact I don't even need to say what needs to improve anymore. We just need to get you to say this coach won't win this or this player won't do that... We damn sure know it will come about then.

That is better than any signing or any teaching the team could do.

I think he will be forced to make some of the changes we have wanted in his coaching. He has shown growth at game planning here and there and at adjustments. I hope he hands off the playcalling duties and focuses on the overall scheme and game management. 2019 gave me hope believe it or not. We just need a more fluid offensive scheme.

Canada's offensive scheme and play calling is where this offense is headed............. Is that the more fluid offensive scheme you are looking for ?

We have to accept what we get this coming season and I hope it improves greatly over last year's.

Shades isn't going to change jack ****. We will be lucky to go 7-10.
Each of past three off-seasons, Art II told Shades to improve the running game. How did that work out?
For him to change something, Shades would have to admit that what he was doing was wrong or not working. I'm convinced he is one of those people who is simply incapable of admitting he is ever wrong.

TOTALLY hear yaz Ron. That analytical study showing him to be LAST in coaching football decision is a great example of NOT learning from your mistakes. To be ranked that low you would have to be consistant at bad decisions and that is proof of not learning or becomming better at decision making.

That’s two games. What about the other 16? Or better yet, the other 7 wins? Block Punt for score is rare? There has been 5 blocked punts for TDs since 2016. I won‘t say it’s occasional, but it’s definitely not rare.

Its amazing how myopic you are in situational stats for your tantrums. What about the tie with DET? Whose fault was that? Tomlin or Art2? Wait….I don’t think they fumbled the ball just as a game winning FG was the next play. Do something with that meathead.
 
it’s “Steeler sunday!” as it was known in WPA growing up in 70’s. Super Bowl sunday… I think 99 percent of us want coach tomlin to succeed and he could if he quit being a control freak… how he treated butler and lebeau is grounds enough to be fired… great coaches delegate… shanahan can’t even keep a coach… tomlin? He seems be hiring coaches, journeymen, desperate for a job that won’t question his authority. with Ben and the last of Cowhers coaches gone what should we expect? its not hard to look ahead at the next 5 years and at the rate we are falling. The fact is at the rate we are going the Steelers could hire God as GM I doubt it will help.

We made the playoffs due to luck AND the fact that the NFL added two extra teams. Tomlin has a losing record in the playoff. Great coach, no.
