Interesting move perhaps to try to get him past waivers and onto the PS... that or a wr is hurt.... that or they were worried that tge Raiders were making a move to get him back with brown gone....

I pray Tuzar ends up on the PS and then back on the 53 at some point. He just seems 2x the player Chickillo is, would hate to lose him to another team. Damn.

Good to have Holton onboard, regardless.

They must be praying that with the 1st weekend of games coming up and the fact Skipper has little name recognition, went undrafted, small school, etc, that he'll slip through the cracks. I would not have taken such a risk, that's for sure.

That would be the only reason this makes even remote sense, can't go with only 4 healthy WRs for prolonged periods. Still would have been willing to release several others before skipper

I agree with this...everyone besides Dobbs.

I would have kept Skipper over Chickillo both on the roster and on the depth chart. He's simply the better, more talented OLB. With Ulysses Gilbert onboard that makes Matakevich expendable, no good reason to keep 5 ILB's on the roster. Dangerfield is just a guy, could easily be kept on PS, nobody even took a sniff at him last year.

So yeah, I think this is a totally bonehead move. Again, I hope & pray Skipper somehow slips through the cracks and we don't lose a talented guy like him.

Good call, you may very well be right the Raiders came sniffing around for Holton. So no problem adding him to the 53, but there were much better options than cutting Skipper.
