What the **** part does the chicken play?

Just another example to me any fan that thinks the Steelers are some morally and ethically superior team to every other team around needs to wake up.

There are just as many bad apples in the history of the Steelers organization as there are on every other franchise.

And don't give me bullshit about Townsend not knowing. He's as responsible for enabling this stuff to happen as Michael Vick was letting his "posse" run a ******* dog fighting training/breeding facility at his property in Virginia.

I hope Townsend gets the book thrown at him. Heroin is nasty **** that kills and ruins a lot of people's lives.

Uh he rents the home doesn't live there or even in that town. if every landlord was held accountable for what the renters do we would live in Russia!

So your priority is to jump on your "I'm too cool for school" soapbox rather than wait for the facts (as they relate to Deshea) to come to light?

In this case, I don't agree.

The chicken...Most likely a voodoo sacrifice...or just dinner.

A brick to yo face wut U gone do with it !

Even if deshea was somehow involved, he hasnt been a Steeler in how many seasons now??

The chicken is the other pecker head. The chicken took the link to the story. Don't wait for any facts to show up lets just jump to conclusions. They are probably ok it's just the next part of the affordable care act. The guns will be on the way to Mexico for the next phase of gunwalker. And the only reason this is posted is because Desha is black.

Damn. What happened to due process? You know someone on heroin?

The problem is, in this age of tenant protection:

You, as a landlord cannot evict a tenant without a court order WHICH requires proof of illegal activity.
In order to collect the proof, law enforcement must get involved which runs the risk of Federal seizure of YOUR property if it is used in the commission of a crime!

It does not pay to be a landlord anymore.

The chicken was renting the house.

That sucks. Landlords get a bad rep sometimes but it can be tough to monitor and have to take responsibility for everything.

Sometimes I deal with landlords and rental properties in my business. About ten years ago my dad says, "Me and you are pretty handy. We should buy some old houses cheap, fix them up, and rent them out." I said, "Not on your life! I deal with landlords. YOU think everyone is going to pay you on time and not bust up your property. You a funny man."

Maybe Heroin made them crave eggs?

Or the chicken is a gov't plant. Mind control chicken with a microphone imbedded in it.

Wingman? DeShea is black?

Cops Raid Home Of Former Steeler, Find Mucho Drugs And A Live Chicken
by Rick Chandler | 5:00 pm, June 9th, 2014

And now presenting my favorite paragraph of the day, found over at Pro Football Talk. Really, it’s sad because of the content, and a delight due to the end of the graph:

Police in the Pittsburgh area arrested two men as part of a drug bust Sunday night in the home of Mississippi State cornerbacks coach Deshea Townsend. Police seized 1,500 bricks of heroin (75,000 stamped bags), 16 firearms, more than $100,000 in cash and jewelry, two luxury vehicles, Cuban cigars and a live chicken.

As anyone who is involved in the high-volume drug trade knows, the Cuban cigars are for celebration, and the chicken is for alerting you when someone is in the yard. Or for comedy relief.

Townsend, a former player for the Pittsburgh Steelers who joined the Mississippi State coaching staff in 2013, has not been connected to the drug bust, and it’s not clear if he will be. All that authorities are saying is that he owns the home that was raided.

The names of the two men arrested are Price Montgomery and James Perrin. Townsend had no previous relationship with the men arrested a Mississippi State spokesperson told the Clarion-Ledger.
The article has pictures of everyone not involved so far, Townsend, and the chicken.

For some reason I can not post the link, the picture of the chicken: Mug Shot was great.
