Rules... Pick the four teams in the order they are assigned.

How many perfect guessers will we have? My stab at it....

1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. Florida St
4. Ohio St

Have fun. NFL playoffs start for the black and gold tomorrow.

I'm taking those same four, with Ohio State jumping ahead of TCU and Baylor.

This is a tough one....

Oregon is my number one
Alabama
Florida State

4th spot is tough.....OSU made a huge statement and TCU and Baylor won convincingly. The committee seems to like TCU so I will put them at #4. I dont know how you can lose two spots after a 55-3 win.

Just had this argument with a guy whose opinion I repeect a lot. I understand your argument (the same as his), but I dont know how TCU is atop Baylor when they played head to head. I think the lack of a conference championship and having a bottom feeder like Iowa St as your bookend (NONE of this is TCUs fault either), and a team you are in competition with is playing the #2 defense in the country and a running back who a few weeks ago broke a single game record, and they beat them by a 59-0 shut out.... I think that is what it was going to take to get the buckeyes in.

This also gets the committee off the hook of all the lobbying being done by the XII schools/commish, and avoiding the Why TCU over Baylor whine Baylor beat them heads to head? argument.

PS I cant stand Ohio State or Meyer.

PPS Better to argue about who is #4 rather than #2.

Alabama
Oregon
FSU
Ohio St
I was called crazy when i picked Ohio st in the last poll.

At this point i don't care as long as Alabama and FSU don't win. Hate Bama more than any college football program and top 5 in all of sports. FSU, can't stand Winston.

That being said: 1. Oregon 2. alabama 3. FSU 4. Baylor (guessing as they beat TCU, i just don't see OSU getting in)

Going to be a tough decision. So, are 2 more teams added next year cause some cries?

Would love to see OSU get left out, but wouldn't mind seeing them get their *** handed to them by some real competition.

If they make it in and play at the level they played last night, no one is handing TOSU their own ***...TOSU might get beat, sure, but there will be no ***-handing, believe that

I definitely understand what you are saying, and it is hard to argue your points. I am going by what the selection team has said so far. TCU was up to number 3. If the committee thinks that high of TCU and they won 55-3 I dont know how they can knock them out.

Florida State will be one and done.

I still dont understand the thinking here. Baylor beat TCU a while ago and should have already been reflected in the rankings. Like one of the guys said on the selection show people were talking about a fight between TCU, Baylor, and OSU, but according to the standings those were numbers 3,5,6 NOT 4,5,6. By trouncing an opponent and probably could have scored more TCU goes from 3 to 6. I am not saying that TCU should be 3,4,5 that is up for discussion, but I think the committee is a farce. I think they need to goto 8 teams and give the big 12 a champ game.

I would go to 16 teams. No reason not too. The committee makes no sense. If TCU is good enough to be #3 one week how in the hell can they drop to #6 the next week after trouncing someone? Yea, I know Iowa St. sucks ***. But OSU has beat up on a weak conference all year. I don't get it. I guess big 10 bias is creeping into the committee.

There's much I don't like about OSU but I'm pulling for them to win it all.

Can Ohio state's third string QB have a repeat performance in the playoffs?

1. Who gives a ****
2. Still not a true playoff system
3. SEC RAWKS!!!
4. Only NCAA sport without a true playoff system

Ohio State was dropped because their QB was injured. Now they dominated a good team with their new QB which is pretty impressive. The key being it was a championship game.

The Big 12 does not have a championship game because they only have 10 teams. This means TCU and Baylor are co-champs and the committee strongly hinted that being a conference champ is a big positive. The combination of OSU being a conference champ and doing it in dominating fashion put them ahead of both TCU and Baylor.

Look for the Big 12 to add teams pretty quickly to have enough for a title game. Easiest thing would be to raid the American Conference. Invite Houston, SMU, South Florida and UCF to go to 14 teams. BYU is an independent. Maybe they can grab them.

Not to mention Alabama #1 over both undefeated FSU and 1 loss Oregon is a joke

Why is that a joke? Have you compared schedules? Makes sense to me all the way around.

And we have to remove ourselves from the old way of doing things. Keeping FSU @#1 simply because they are undefeated is a thing of the past. That's not a bad thing, especially if you have watched the Noles play this year. They have looked very weak and lucky at times. Having Bama AND Oregon ahead of them is not only fair, it's correct.

I'm wondering how much Wisconsin got paid to lay down. What a joke. Bama and Oregon are the top 2 and it's not close.
