How about a game....NCAA Final Football Four

Not to mention Alabama #1 over both undefeated FSU and 1 loss Oregon is a joke

Not to mention FSU hasn't lost to anyone in over 2 seasons. They didn't get the style points this year, but they still beat everyone and plenty of ranked teams. The playoffs need at least 4 more teams. I think 8 would be a more logical playoff system.

I'm wondering how much Wisconsin got paid to lay down. What a joke. Bama and Oregon are the top 2 and it's not close.

Everyone loves a conspiracy.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ohio State beat Alabama.

Ohio State was dropped because their QB was injured. Now they dominated a good team with their new QB which is pretty impressive. The key being it was a championship game.

The Big 12 does not have a championship game because they only have 10 teams. This means TCU and Baylor are co-champs and the committee strongly hinted that being a conference champ is a big positive. The combination of OSU being a conference champ and doing it in dominating fashion put them ahead of both TCU and Baylor.

Look for the Big 12 to add teams pretty quickly to have enough for a title game. Easiest thing would be to raid the American Conference. Invite Houston, SMU, South Florida and UCF to go to 14 teams. BYU is an independent. Maybe they can grab them.

Osu was never in the top 4 with their heisman candidate Qb. Also how did baylor magically jump over TCU

What is the difference between Ohio State and Breakfast cereal.

Cereal belongs in the bowl.

Ohio State consistantly embarasses the Big Ten Conference in these "championship" games, which is a lousey conference to start with. OSU barley beat PSU and should have lost that game and the last 4 games of their regular schedule were within 15 points or less. Wisconsin laid a huge ******* egg and now we get to see THE OSU get pounded into submission by Bama and lose even more credability as a conference. Baylor should be the #4 team, and it was the Big 12's fault for not giving the head to head matchup to Baylor. "Co-Champs"? I ******* hate this "Everyone gets a trophy bullshit". that mindset just cost one of the two teams a chance at a National Championship.

Zactly.

Co-champs = Not National Champs

Why is that a joke? Have you compared schedules? Makes sense to me all the way around.

And we have to remove ourselves from the old way of doing things. Keeping FSU @#1 simply because they are undefeated is a thing of the past. That's not a bad thing, especially if you have watched the Noles play this year. They have looked very weak and lucky at times. Having Bama AND Oregon ahead of them is not only fair, it's correct.

Based on schedule, Oregon should be 1

Because Baylor beat ranked Kansas State in their last game and TCU beat a terrible team.

What is clear is that the old AP poll thinking is over. With the polls, a team got a ranking and then the general rule is that they don't fall so long as they don't lose. The committee has shown that they do a completely new ranking every week. Florida State dropped after wins.

I like that they are moving in this direction. It always bothered me that the AP poll is too stagnant. The preseason AP poll sets up the whole season. A perfect example is Texas A&M. They made it up to like 5 or 6 and had first place votes all because they beat a few overrated teams early. It took multiple losses for get TAM out of the polls even after it was obvious they weren't that good.

I'm glad the committee polls are more fluid but i just hope they don't go too far the other way and have teams moving all over the place on a weekly basis. That's fine in the first few rankings but as you get to the end, the rankings should not change all that much.

They absolutely had to put OSU in there over Baylor and TCU. Ohio State has improved a ton this year and beating down a good Wisconsin team like that was a statement. Ohio State's dominating wins over Michigan State and Wisconsin are better wins than anything TCU or Baylor did.

I'm biased. I like the final rankings. And much like with this Steelers team, I wouldn't care if they got beat in the playoffs. They are a young team and just the experience of being in the playoffs will help them next year. However, I do "hope" that they beat 'Bama.
