How far can you throw a football?

I could throw it 200 yards but I could also catch said ball. fast. yep

That’s it, that’s all you got ???

QWICK story, all three characters are my friends. Happened about 30yrs ago

Glenn was sleeping in the basement open room. Later Damon and his future wife, Skyla came in a little drunk and plopped down on the other bed. They were trying to be quiet (for drunk people), Glenn played like he was seeping.

They got at it and nearly just as fast were done, Damon was done.

Skyla sits up and says plainly……………… That’s it,…. That’s all you got !!!!!!

GLENN had to literally bite his lip to keep from busting out laughing

So BLITZ, if that 200yard pass was thrown and I had to maneuver through that basement just hearing that,……..I’d still make the catch.!!!!

you had friends? whats that like?

Reading some of these comments reminded me…(I don’t know why)…of the old NFL skills competition…can’t remember what they used to call it. But I remember them dropping the football out of a helicopter to simulate fielding a punt. If they had that in the new-format all-star games…it would be worth seeing.

I think it was called the NFL skills competition.

Just as well incorporate that into today's game.

I actually think that was a world record at the time, or it was the mark that would have to be beat to set a world record of catching a football out of a helicopter.

Hope you’re doing OK Paul !!!

What the heck was the show called? We’Re talking in the 70’s. Superstars competition or something? Think it was ABC. Like ABC’s wide world of Sports back then. They had different teams from different sports going against each other. I always remember they had members of the Steelers going against members of the Pirates going against each other in the tug of war. Guess who won? I was shocked that the Pirates won.

ABC Superstars. And then twice a year they had World Series and SB teams on the Super Teams competition. I'll never forget when the Raiders purposely showed up late vs. The Eagles because they felt they got screwed I'm the previous competition.
Funny that's twice this show came up this week. My friend showed me a clip of Wayne Gretzky blowing the doors off of Pele, Sugar Ray Leonard and Bjorn Borg in a 60 or 100m dash. I found that surprising. Them all wearing early 80's striped pole shirts was less surprising.

Wasn't Pele already in his 40s when that happened? I bet it would have been a different story in his prime

I also remember “Battle of the Network Stars”, but that was TV personalities more than anything. It might have been that the NFL/MLB/NHL stars’ shows were tied into that somehow.

Battle of the Superstars wasn’t just football.

Quarterback Challenge was football.
