Fire Joey Porter: Bud Dupree hasn’t developed much. Everything TJ Watt has done has been due to his own athletic talent; his hand usage as a passer rusher hasn’t improved much, and Porter is responsible for that. (Done.)   Fire or demote Keith Butler: Butler, as a defensive coordinator, has one of the best blitzing […]

Do not fire Mike Tomlin: Very few can handle the personalities he has, and definitely not someone looking for a job in 2019. He has been one of the most consistent, solid Head Coach’s in the league and now is not the time to dip into the HC frenzy. Get him a man in the booth or assistant (maybe Jim Caldwell) who can help with things like challenges.

I would argue enough has been said on this board to prove he doesn't handle personalities well. The team might very well lose two of the top three talents on the team due to him not handling those personalities well. I would debate it is the exact opposite of what the writer is trying to present.

Now is not the time to get rid of him is countered with get him some help? Wouldn't that be a argument to let him go? One of the many things he doesn't do well?

If now isn't the time, I am not sure when the right time is.

When Ben's career is said and done?

By then wouldn't be past the right time to can him?

I see the writing on the wall and it isn't a pretty one, if you are a proponent of getting Ben a ring before he sails off into the sunset.

If a consistent solid job is missing the playoffs or one and done every other year, then yes he has done a consistent job of bringing home the participation trophies.

He can shine them up until Big Ben leaves. Might be a good time for him to step away by then, because those trophies will get pretty dusty without Big Ben.

You know that guy that seems to be the scapegoat on fans lists. Instead of Tombert's decisions and a few players festering actions.

**** has been happening in that "locker room" way to long to say he handles "multiple" personalities amongst the players. ADD in the panzie AZz play on the field and WhoALa you have the recipee for replacement. Cool Shades has had ample ti,me to show us what he's got............... And his schtick is getting predictably old, especially when you add the talent he has had access to. LAME artickle and arguement of keeping him, sorry....SELL

They can't fix their coaching situation without an attitude adjustment at the top. The first step in solving a problem is recognizing there is one.

Tomlin is a symptom, as is organizational inertia and the stodgy approach to free agency.

Thou shalt not have opinions that don't consider Tomlin THE problem.

Hire the entire Ravens Defensive coaching staff including "Wink" Martindale then tell HCMT to stay away from the Defense and brush up on his presser speeches.

How do you take an article seriously when it says this:

Shazier could cover even top-tier Wide Receivers

No he could not. He struggled at times with top tier TEs and Rbs. Which top tier WR did he shut down? Then you get gems like this:

He could make the Keith Butler defense work

Then why did the Steelers have a better record when he was hurt as opposed to when he played? Since he is the ILB God you'd think they couldn't win a game without him but they actually played better when he wasn't on field. Who writes this?

I am NOT trying to be condescending. Please don't take it that way. This is just a great opportunity to point out something that many many people do. The french phrase "Voila" means essentially, "there it is." people often mispronounce it. (There is a v in there) and they almost ALWAYS misspell it. Now, if you don't care - that's fine. I would just recommend you not use that term. Again, not trying to be a dick, it's more like a friend telling you that you have something in your teeth or that your fly is down.

Again, maybe he rebounds from this, but right now Tomlins star is very tainted around the league... i think he should want a change of scenery when his contract runs out... he won’t be fired before that but absolutely deserves it

I wondered about the shazier comment, too.

We have the most overrated head coach in all of professional sports and no desire to replace him.

I saw a man tonight at Walmart in a leather Steelers jacket. I walked up to him and asked him "Are you mad?" He says "I'm just disappointed. We didn't make the playoffs!!" I said "I know" He's like "Are you mad lol?"

I did not know MT had multiple personalities.

I also didn't know that "head coaches," when used as a plural, had an apostrophe. Or was capitalized.
