On the other side of the ledger, the number of people deported at or near the border has gone up — primarily as a result of changing who gets counted in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency's deportation statistics.

There are only two ways to take your reply to Steelin's quote. It's basic logic.
Either
a) You're an insensitive ******* that truly relishes in the death of a kid or doesn't care about the death of the kid because it goes against your political leanings,
or
b) You're admitting your reading comprehension is well below the standard acceptable level.
Those are the only options to evaluating your post.

Any sanctuary city should immediately lose federal funding. No more freebies. No more trips to the hospital. No more enroll your child in school.
Take that stuff away and the illegals will self deport.

Liberals Howl Over ICE Raids Targeting Criminal Aliens
U.S. immigration officials arrested an MS-13 gang member, a cocaine trafficker, and a child molester during a series of raids in at least six states last week. The raids, targeting illegal immigrants with additional felonies, are part of the first large-scale enforcement operation since President Donald Trump took office.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said they targeted known criminals and arrested hundreds of illegal immigrants in what they called an “enforcement surge” that began Feb. 6 and took place in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, and the Carolinas. ICE arrested approximately 200 illegal aliens throughout Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina and arrested 160 more in 55 communities throughout southern California.
Of the 160 arrested in California, approximately 150 were marked by misdemeanors or “felony criminal histories ranging from child sex crimes to weapons charges to assaults,” according to the Los Angeles Daily News.

A poll by the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA, also known as Chatham House), the British sister organization to our Council of Foreign Relations (CFR), taken a month before President Donald Trump issued his temporary suspension on refugees, showed widespread and increasing support among Europeans for his actions.
Across all 10 of the European countries polled, 55 percent of those polled agreed that all further immigration from “mainly Muslim” countries should be stopped while only 20 percent disagreed. In no country did those disagreeing exceed 32 percent.
The results were “striking and sobering," according to Matthew Goodwin, writing for the RIIA. Trump’s ban “has been interpreted widely as an attempt to curtail the inward migration of Muslims, which Trump and his supporters argue pose a threat to national security.” Those supporters include “leaders of Europe’s populist right-wing parties, including Geert Wilders, Nigel Farage and Matteo Salvini [who] have heaped praise on Trump.”
The results of the poll “suggest that public opposition to any further migration from predominantly Muslim states is by no means confined to Trump’s electorate in the US but is fairly widespread [across Europe].”
The news was even worse for those worshipping at the altar of internationalist “solutions” to the refugee “problem.” Wrote Goodwin: “There was also a widespread perception in many countries that the arrival of refugees would increase the likelihood of terrorism, with a median of 59 percent across [those] ten European countries holding this view.”
A Reuters/Ipsos poll taken just a week earlier should have given the globalists fair warning: That poll found that half of American adults polled said they either “strongly” or “somewhat” agreed with Trump’s executive order, with a third of those polled feeling more safe because of the temporary ban, and 38 percent saying they thought Trump was setting “a good example” of how best to confront terrorism.

I get so tired of "immigrants" flaunting their fleecing of my country. So it happened again this evening. I stop at the dollar store on the way home for laundry supplies. Family Dollar has name brands that are pretty reasonably priced. As I get out of my 12 year old vehicle, an immigrant possibly illegal, whatever, hops out of her fancy Hummer quad cab truck version of that line. She gives me the little smirk smile that says "haha **** you" and walks in the store ahead of me. Under my breath I muttered "wonderful" as I went in. You've really gotta love it. She looked like she'd just picked up the two kids she had with her from their subsidized after school care. I'd just worked all day of course as I usually do. It gets old.
Disturbing. Incredibly so. The man is in violation of DACA. He's a gang member. Yet there are enough crazy *** Americans that want him to remain, who feel that is good decision making. Will it take Daniel Ramirez killing their children for a wake up call to happen?

Immigration officials said Tuesday they are detaining an illegal immigrant Dreamer because of his gang ties, sparking a new round of protests from immigrant-rights groups who said President Trump is breaking his own promises by trying to deport the young man.
Daniel Ramirez, who was picked up by ICE agents late last week, was granted a temporary deportation amnesty by President Obama under his 2012 policy known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA.
But U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said he’s a “self-admitted gang member.” That puts him in violation of the DACA policy and would have made him a priority for deportation even under President Obama, much less Mr. Trump.
“ICE officers took Mr. Ramirez into custody based on his admitted gang affiliation and risk to public safety,” said agency spokeswoman Rose Richeson.
Immigrant-rights groups have complained about Mr. Ramirez’s arrest, saying it’s the latest evidence that Mr. Trump is trying to make good on his promise to oust illegal immigrants from the country.
“Daniel must be given his freedom, now,” said Greisa Martinez, advocacy director at United We Dream. “Under Trump’s America, no one is safe. Donald Trump and Republicans must say in no uncertain terms that DACA recipients are safe.”
The groups are rallying to protest every immigration enforcement action, hoping to bloody Mr. Trump’s nose now and head off an escalation later.
They said Mr. Obama promised that those approved under his DACA policy would be protected from deportation and would be granted work permits, entitling them to driver’s licenses and taxpayer benefits.
But approval was always discretionary and Homeland Security said it retained the right to go after targets — and said Mr. Ramirez had become a target because of his gang affiliation.
Indeed, the Obama administration itself said membership in a gang was enough to disqualify someone from DACA, and the administration even went back and revoked permits of some illegal immigrants whose gang memberships were only discovered after they’d already been approved.
Lawyers have gone to court to try to get Mr. Ramirez released, and a judge has set a speedy briefing schedule. The Trump administration must file papers by Thursday justifying why it has Mr. Ramirez in custody.
ICE said it encountered Mr. Ramirez on Feb. 10 at a residence in Des Moines, Washington, while trying to find another target, a felon who’d been deported before.
