I can't get excited about this draft

Everyone thinks our missing link is Safety, but currently we are at neutral there. Our DL is based on two (Alualu & Tuitt) both coming off bad situations and creeping on age-ing out. We don't know the certainty of either, so DL is our current need along with WR.
Davis if there or possibly WR if right one value is there.
They will need DL in the top 3 picks

I'm good with DL later but 1.20 needs to be a skill position.

With Edmunds on board for one more year, I think we can now go BPA at 20.
What scares me is Tomlin/Colbert’s recent track record of falling in love with players.
That seems to be Willis this year……and that would be awful anywhere in the first.
We can only hope Willis, Pickett, and possibly Ridder all go before 20 and we don’t give away the farm to move up from 20.
IF we move up from 20, it better be for any position besides QB.
Not holding my breath, though.

Hey Matt from Wexell's board. While Colbert hasn't been perfect, you think he's really going to leave his last year (and legacy) up to Tomlin alone?
Bet you weren't saying that when they ran to the podium to get HOF pass rusher Jarvis Jo...

Flip side is you think we draft anyone Tomlin doesn't want when Colbert won't be here?
I don't think you ever draft a player your head coach doesn't want.....unless you know he wont be around long
It is colbert's draft with input from Tomlin, the scouts, the other coaches and Rooney

Cowher didn't want Ben. I think Tomlin runs the draft, and has for a while.

Not by their accounts. They have said on record it is a team effort.
So then Tomlin hit it out of the park with T.J. Watt, Najee Harris, Cameron Heyward, Le'Veon Bell, Antonio Brown, Maurkice Pouncey etc.?
There are a couple names there that are on pace to be future HoF'ers.

I think it's a team effort but after 15 years I think Tomlin drafts who he wants to draft.
