I know the 2015 draft will be pretty much all defense but.....

can you imagine if this offense were to get one more stud weapon at either receiver or running back? Just think what another 6'3+ talented receiver would be like for our opponents to defend. I know secondary will get a ton of attention but I will not complain at all if we get another playmaker on offense as they would pretty much be unstoppable....sort of like Green Bay...lol.

A big athletic TE would be great.

That should be the only weapon that we target.

I do know one thing Colbert & Tomlin have had 2 very good drafts the past 2 seasons. We need nothing but Defense from here on out....especially secondary...they should be the first two rounds...Cornerback & Safety. It seems we have a great young player in Tuitt. McCullers is a question mark but he's got potential. Steelers could use another OLB possibly in the 3rd round to fill in for Worilds who I hope is gone this offseason.

I certainly don't want to see the Steelers go BAA and take a Offensive guy. If that situation pops up I'd rather see the Steelers trade down and load up on picks to rebuild this defense with youth!

And enough with the hybrid players.

Pick a defense and go with it already.

And just think, we were like a hair or 2 away from getting Odell Beckham who we actually wanted/targeted in the 1st round. Imagine AB and Beckham in our offense right now..

I wouldn't be against drafting a RB in round 3.

lose Worlids and who replaces him? since he has had a big sack season his price should drop by 3-4 mill per year from the 11 mill annual long term contract he wanted, if used properly in the nickel on the edge he will get nuff sacks, I don't know why DL has been lining him at times as a MLB and using him on a loop blitz at 6"0 its better him on the edge and just bullrush his way to the QB, that is how he had 9 sacks after replacing Woodley last year, keep him, 6 years 40 million 8 mill SB. Not like we got a shot at Justin Houston, even if troy retires, ike leaves or retires a mega contract to houston would then not allow us to sign anyone else.

You just know that in the mid rounds the Steelers will add a QB, punter, and a kick returner.

I'm liking what I'm seeing from Moats. If they really want to free up more cap space and get similar production I'd let Worlids walk and keep Moats. Worlids is playing under the prove it tag right now and I don't think he's done enough to prove he deserves a big contract.

I wouldn't be against a very good pass rusher either, that's part of why our secondary is so bad.

If there is a big TE available in the 3rd or 4th, I'd think about it. The first and second have to be CB and S.

Imagine if a top tier tackle were available for the offensive line, or another really good guard. I agree the defense needs help and lots but we will not be able to solve all the problems by reaching for players. I think this year might be the year to try and grab two top free agents on defense and keep going with best players available where ever they will fit in. The team needs to add three or four guys that are better than what they have somewhere on the roster for the next few years to get back to being a prominent team.

I like the way you're thinking on this one. Moats will come at a cheaper price tag than Worilds also.

that is because DL is playing him in coverage to much just rush him from the edge with the bullrush, DL really needs to change the blitzes vs Atlanta and make sure Shazier is in some sets.

I still believe Foster needs to be replaced and I'm not overly impressed with our OT's.

The question is which is needed more? IMHO, the Steelers don't invest much on DB's - so thinking we'll get or go after a top tier one is a pipe dream.

I'd like us to pay attention to a demon pass rusher!

Left Tackle in the 1st or 2nd round Please. Or not if we are getting a decent vet in FA

Moats and Worlids aren't that good when it comes to rushing the passer, we are on pace to have the fewest sacks since the mid 80's, a legit pass rusher is just as important as to tier CB's right now. If we had our pick of a top CB or pass rusher I'd probably take the CB, but I'm still not sure.
Quick without looking name the 2011 Giants CB's, now name the guys on the Dline. Without cheating or lying, I bet everyone knew more of their Dline than CB's.
A good pass rush makes your DB's better, more so than good DB's making a DLine better.

Because our short, undersized LT is the highest graded of our OL on the year? I get the sentiment, but Beachum has actually done exceptionally well as the LT. Looking at some of the points when I ranted about him, if you go back and watch, those hurries etc. were on the LG more often than not.

I like him too but we could slide him to LG, send Foster to be the main backup G and draft a promising LT, then the OLine would be pretty good.

I understand the thought process. But, what if he isn't as good a LG as he is a tackle or the tackle they draft turns out not to be good? If they pursue this route, they better be sure that it is a can't miss LT because we already have too many failed LT experiments trying to hold down the right side.
