If the Browns take Miles Jack in the 1st round, I'm worried...

The Browns are under new leadership. Since I don't follow that team, I only recently learned this.

RG3's workout was reportedly impressive. Forget Washington: he showed real arm talent at Baylor. Accuracy and deep touch. Josh Gordon was his teammate, and is eligible for reinstatement this season. Hue Jackson is a gifted coach, misused in Oakland, that resurrected Carson Palmer from the recycle bin.

The gift of the Browns being run like **** may be ending. Like it or not, RG3 was a legit 1st round prospect coming out. Gordon is a game breaker. Miles Jack is the best defensive player in the draft. This may signal a change in the Browns bottom feeder status. Time will tell.

However: should they take Goff, who's by no means a "can't miss" prospect, we can expect the same old Browns for at least the foreseeable future.

But I'm worried. They're starting to make moves that make sense, and this division is already crowded.

EDIT: Corrected Josh Gordon's name.

Joe Haden is cornerback from Florida. Josh Gordon just failed another drug test and was denied reinstatement. He can apply again in August.

The Browns will be lucky to win ONE game this season. They have two players on their entire roster that could start on another NFL team.

Damn that was stupid. I suck with names.

And I'm not worried about this year. I'm worried about the next 5 years. RG3 becomes solid, Miles Jack anchors the D, and they continue to use their high draft picks wisely. This Sashi Brown/Paul DePodesta combo seems pretty sharp. With Miles Jack on board you have a CORE. Look at Oakland. If they got Ezekiel Elliot, they'd have a serious core along with Carr, Cooper, and Mack. That's how you build a winner.

We'll see what they do in 2 weeks. But if they go for Jack, **** is about to get real in the Toughest Division In Sports.

Browns?? ****, I'm worried about the ravens getting Myles Jack! I know we have no shot of getting him, but at the very least, I damn sure dont want the rats getting him!

I'll be worried about the browns when they give me reason to be worried about them

Cleveland is where great talent goes to die.

They have two players on their entire roster that could start on another NFL team.
Joe Thomas, Joel Bitonio, Gary Barnidge, Danny Shelton, Paul Krueger, Joe Haden and Andy Lee would all be starting if they were on the Steelers roster. There's a few others that are debateable as well

Joe Thomas is old and is living off of his name. He hasn't been a dominate LT in a few years. Bitonio isn't better then DeCastro and it would be a toss up to say he's better then Foster. Barnidge and Haden were the two on my mind when I made that comment. Regardless they have 5 players that are quality players?? 5-6 out of 22 + 2 K/P.. the Browns have a proven track record of messing up. RG3 is so fragile and hasn't played in two years. He's not going to become Montana in Cleveland.

My 2 cents.....

I got a buddy that's a Bengals fan.
After the loss to us in the playoffs, he wanted Marvin fired and Hue as HC.
He didn't mind when Zimmer left for Minnesota, and always said he was more worried about losing Hue.
Also, there's a story by Peter King that said Marvin and Hue went to Brown and said Marvin would step down in 2 years and wanted Hue to take over. Marvin's idea, not Hue's.
Brown would only do a handshake deal, and no formal contract.
Hue felt slighted and purposely chose Cleveland so he could stick it up Brown's arse twice a year.
Back to my Bengal buddy fan.....he's in a BAD mood about losing Hue and realizes that the Browns are on the way out of the cellar.
IF ownership shows patience for once, and don't pull a Chudzinski on Hue, we're gonna have issues with the Browns sooner rather than later.

Neither QB is worth 1 or 2, but Goff is the better prospect.
If they do take Jack or Ramsey, we'll know it's not business as usual with the Browns.

Are you high?
Seriously?
These comments are downright absurd.

There is no eFFin way rg3 will ever be a Mr. Montana. He'd have to move to Montana and win a beauty contest for that to happen. RG3 will be lucky to finish the season yet alone as a starter.

Okay, he's still solid and dominate at times. I just don't think he's the top guy anymore.

Yeah, I'm not saying he's the best LT in the game right this second, but he's top 3-5.
And he'll be that for another 3 years or so.
He's a throwback.

OP should state Jack worried about Browns, as in worried they may select him dooming his career.

Meh I have heard all this before... Lets look at past history here.. Hue jackson will be fired in 2 years, whoever they draft will be a bust, and any free agent they sign will get hurt by midseason... That team is jinxed.. Its just that simple

Well a little rational........... Let's say Cleveland does start making decent decisions. Let's say they do "HIT" on a couple of draft picks....maybe even develope a core group. Win a little translates to lower draft picks. Add in a few misses along the way and NOW have to pay to keep players, maybe a Joe Flacco type QB (not elite but paid elite). Doesn't this sound like about 50% of the teams in the NFL, just now they actually have to manage and make count the salary cap and their now coveted 16-22 draft pick (instead of the steady top 5 or so). Their current owner is to egotistic le to stand back and let the "Experts" run the team, backwards they go. They may NOT always be bottom dwellers but for those of you who think they will climb like no tomorrow.......because of a coach and a first round draft pick......... Need to rethink. There might be a "FLASH" in the pan but in the end they aren't the STEELERS and we can weather any storm they bring.!!!!

Ir the browns pick a great player it means the ravens aren't picking that guy. That works for me

and that player will sign elsewhere when his rookie contract expires, if he's still able to play.

not a hue jackson fan. bengals had a good offense before he got there and will have after he leaves. browns can have him and his outofdate west coast offense. they could be good down the road but we are talking way down the road. they are making the mistake of " not my guy " and are getting rid of to many good players. i mean good not great but so they have to have very good drafts just to get back to being crappy and as we all know with the amount of luck involved in the draft. dont see browns in playoff hunt for a long time.

The Browns have had some decent talent whittle away under their leadership over the years. Until they prove otherwise, it's status quo at the toilet.
