Imagine that, Joe Biden pardons son Hunter

When I was in my early 20's I stopped into a Porsche dealership and inquired about a 911 Carrera, fully intending to save up and pay cash for it.
My expectations lowered by reality.
the only new cars/jeeps/trucks I buy are when they do the 0% financing deal. then it is like paying cash but over time

I don't think 0% financing existed in the 70's, at least for those of us with little income.
To your point about house values exploding, yes they are, and if you sell, you're still left with the issue of buying something else whose value has also exploded.

The days that I keep my expectations low…are the days that I have really good days..,

Problem for Crackhead is that if he is deposed after January 1, 2025 (1) the pardon does not apply and (2) if he lies under oath, he faces perjury charges.
Can they charge a bunch of Hunter's "business associates", including his who-ores, and keep Hunter in depositions?

Why not go after the enablers and offer deals to the first couple to get them talking? They are probably royally pissed right now.

TSLA stock owner for years. Not ready to buy a car yet. those cyber trucks look badass but would never own one
Those cyber trucks are deceiving. Seeing them on tv or on pc they look kinda dumb. But I finally saw one up close in person and I agree, they do look badass. They're a lot bigger in person then they appear on screen. But, I get it if they aren't everyone's cup of tea. I wouldn't buy one but I can see the appeal for some.

I rode in one about a month ago. They are decievingly fast. Again totally badass. Just not me

Look at Rivian…
Nice looking SUVs and trucks..
Not to mention I’m a shareholder.. 😁
Yeah I bought the stock. Down.
Just not sure electric cars are for me. Let others buy them.

In fairness, there's a good chance spineless republican meat-bags fought this tooth & nail.

Joke's on them. This was ACTUALLY a good piece of legislation.

And death tax if you're ignorant enough to die and think leaving property to your kids is a gesture of kindness.

Why not subpoena the 7 year old grandkids that got 60 or 70k in her account?

Put the little ****** on the stand and ask

"What the ****'d you do to earn 60k, you little lawn-mowin' Sonofabitch?"

While earning interest on the money you would have spent on the car.

Yeah, our fleet vehicles are F-150 Lightning. That claim of 0-60 in 3.9 seconds is absolutely true. Things accelerate like nothing else on the road.

As well as possibly earning more than the capital gains deduction.

My nephew (College indoctrinated leftist) was bragging at Thanksgiving about selling his house and making almost $450 large. You should have seen his face when the daughter-in-law (CPA) explained to him how much in taxes he was going to pay as a single individual. I thought he was going to start crying when he realized that now he couldn’t afford the new place because he was going to be way short on the down payment. My guess is that he will be renting now.

In 1974 a person could get a cut of pizza and a can of mountain dew for 25 cents. Cigarettes were 35 cents per pack. Isaly's had milkshakes for 25 cents. Newspapers were 10 cents. You got into the movie theatre for 50 cents or a dollar, depending on theater.

The good old days.

I don't think you have to pay capital gains tax on a house you sell if you buy another house. My Mom had a pay a boatload of capital gains because she sold her house and moved to a smaller house that she rents.
