Injury Report 9/8: First Day Back at Practice

Good news first. TJ Watt was back as a full participant for the first time this season. The hold-in is over, but when will he sign that brand new contract? Who knows, but one thing is for certain, you can bank on TJ playing on Sunday, new contract or not.

Fellow outside linebacker Alex Highsmith was limited with a groin injury. Also new rookie center Kendrick Green was also limited with a thumb issue. Green was reported to have been talking after practice, so the assumption is he is going to be fine.






Tyson Alualu was the only player to miss practice with an elbow problem. Being a savvy veteran, I won’t be concerned unless he misses practice tomorrow.



That’s a fairly short list, so we will have to wait and see how they progress throughout the week.

Hopefully Alualu will be ok, already down one D-lineman.
 
No doubt. We need Aluala and Highsmith in this game for sure - along with Green and a returning Watt.

Might have meant because he was talking about it not being a problem? Beats me. Just hope it's good for Sunday, he absolutely needs the reps against a really solid Bills DL.
 
Highsmith trending to not playing with a limited and then a DNP. That's not good since Watt shouldn't see anywhere near 50% of the snaps or they risk an injury that will keep him out weeks since he's not in football shape. Not good at all.

Looks like Ingram is going to get some serious work.
 
Ingram and Jamir will be getting a lot of snaps in his 1st game. You just signed Watt and can't risk blowing him up in the 1st game since he hasn't been practicing with the team and is nowhere near football shape. It's the 1st game, so hopefully, Tomlin plays it smart but I doubt he will.
