There was some whispers that he could get cut prior to this, I think this should quiet that crowd. I do think it is a good possibility he starts out on IR.

I do wonder if they are thinking of adding a player or two. As they seem to be active with their cap tweaking…I read awhile ago it was unlikely he'd be ready for the early part of the season. This is additional evidence he'll be out for awhile. I do hope he can fully recover because he played pretty well for us once he settled in and would be terrific depth for the stretch run of the year.

Sutton or Heyward?I think Cam has successfully parleyed his salary into a no cut situation.

Sutton or Heyward?
lol
Heyward only has one year left on his deal, they can't restructure his contract, only extend it.Heyward, screamed big at the beginning, leaked he might play else where, then settled in for the long haul.
I would only think they restructure his contract for a 2yr stint, or actually do nothing at all.
There was a hellA lot more to gain from restructuring Heyward, then restructuring Holcomb. That tells the story.

Or cut him.
So the Steelers can't approach Cam and ask him to take a pay reduction for the up coming season?
