Yeah they provide some tech stuff but those numbers were biased by two things, one was the amout of oil they smuggle past sanctions to china and Russia, and the other was them trying to look like they werent oil dependent by discount selling products to their neighbors, whom they mostly bombed and just blew up relations with... look at their dealings with UAE.. thats all burned to the ground right now...

Its the same issue for the past half century plus
Palestine is on the same geographic plateau Israel is on. Its proximity is the absolute best military starting point for an invasion and is the prime location for general missile attacks. This is why they kept it occupied and wouldnt give it back...
Every single time they give that labd back they instantly get attacked
The Hamas line they have fed the US for decades is the same " oh yeah, we will give up our heavy weapons AFTER israel gets out and lets us move them all there and attack them...
Think of it like this... your neighbors all attack you cause they want ypu to move out, but you beat them off abd occupy a bunch of their houses..afterwards they whine that you have their land, so you give it back, and a few years later it happens again.. this continues till you just dont give their land back... eventually you give most of it back, but keep the stuff closest to you....
They create a refugee crisis by refusing to relocate any of the people displaced until you begrudgingly let them back but still keep a military presence there... and periodically they stage terrorist attacks from that area, so you know they still hate you...
Why the **** would you ever agree to let them be un- chaperoned there?
Basically while i dont really give a **** about that area... im so tired hearing dumb **** pro Palestine garbage id be willing to back them being a state under two circumstance, first everyone in this country votes on it and if you vote for it and within five years they attack israel, you are banned from ever voting for anything ever again... and secondly the agreement that as soon as they or any proxys attack Israel from that location, that whole location is bombed to the stone age and never settled by anyone ever again.
