To some, yes it is as one of the men on the rock owned slaves, and the other who freed them legally used derogatory language against the group he freed and was shot dead with Confederate money in his wallet.

Now my idea for a new documentary. Some young film maker should travel with the alt-left. Show who they really are, the type of violence they use. Capture their raw languages on film. Then release a well narrated movie.

Mount Rushmore had to be the biggest letdown of a national park/monument I have ever been to. There's nothing there but the carving. Waste of money.

Demonstrators rally at City Hall to bring down Christopher Columbus statue

Christopher Columbus was a villain of history and his statue should be removed, according to demonstrators who gathered today before one of several statues of the man in this city that bears his name.

There are at least three statues of Columbus in this city: at City Hall, at Columbus State Community College and at the Statehouse. They were put up at a time when Christopher Columbus, the Italian explorer, was largely viewed as a hero, and before the reassessment that has occurred more recently about his enslavement of and violence against Native Americans.

“Christopher Columbus was a violent man, colonizing North America and causing genocide for indigenous peoples here” “We want the statue removed, but that’s just the symbol. What we’re really fighting for is systemic changes.”

That's easy. When Donald J. Trump becomes president, the GOP has a majority in the House and Senate and the majority of Governors in the land are Republicans. Then, all of this nonsense will stop. Wait...
