Joey Porter, Jr. vs. Marvin Harrison 2022

We definitely have reached for some of our 1st round picks (and others) and that makes the odds even worse for them being a bust when you consider only about a third of 1st round picks get a 2nd contract from the team that drafted them.

Terrel Edmonds stuck and started 5 years. I know he was over drafted but in the end, was a success and an abnormally.

I get your point, but once in awhile there is the sticker.

We’ve definitely had our share of non-adhesiveness though…..

I could be wrong but I don't believe they optioned Edmunds 5th year. He came back on a 1-year deal as a FA. He did play well but definitely not 1st round well. We just didn't have anyone else. I think they would have brought him back this year on another 1-year deal but he wanted a change of scenery. Not a bust but definitely didn't get that big 2nd contract from the Steelers or anyone for that matter.

I hear yaz TDX27

I was making the fact that he started 5 years here, regardless of circumstances out of his control.

It’s a given he didn’t live up to 1st round hype, but also shows he persevered Against the perfect world.

They didn’t pick up his 5th year partially because they knew they would get him for less. Smart on the STEELERS management side. Sure they looked for better, but to no avail And he signed the 1 yr deal. Business for both.
