Ok, let's say AB was faking, it doesn't matter, it's still an illegal hit and the flag was thrown before the refs knew if AB was hurt or not, him being hurt had no bearing on the penalty.

This! But the most funny part (read this without laughing) is that he says AB "winked" at him as he was leaving the field.
Now, I for a moment do not believe AB was faking; however based on the pics I've seen of him in the locker room, I do believe he made a quick recovery - possibly just getting his bell rung. I would not put it past him (AB) to have done it. As Coryea says, it's totally irrelevant, but hilarious if it happened.
AB was knocked out. Watch the replay. His eyes were back in his head when he hit the ground and his body was limp. He was not faking.

It doesn't even matter in terms of the outcome of the game, so why would he fake it? The penalty's on the hit, not on the result. The flags were flying before AB hit the ground.
