I don't see CB as high w/ the Levi Wallace signing.
Not a "house on fire" need, but team still has not signed Witherspoon and Wallace is a #2. Still a pretty big need.
WR, IMO, is. We need a big bodied, fast WR that can separate like DJ and catch the ball like Mr. Big Chest...
Agree. The line improves, Trubisky gets 3.2 seconds to find a target and deliver the ball. That means somebody has to get open in 3 seconds or less.
And then catch the ball.
I'm still pimping Jameson Williams...
If Williams is still there at 20, the Steelers should definitely consider him. His skill set is amazing. 6'2", 190 lbs., BLAZING speed. The knee is reportedly doing fine.
However, there will be some really good WR's in rounds 2 and 3. Georgia's George Pickens suffered his ACL injury (what the hell is the deal with top-end WR's and ACL?) a year ago, is back to full health, played in Georgia's last four games, is the ideal size and speed, good hands. He will probably be available in the 3rd.
Also, another ACL injured WR and somebody from the WR factory you know and love, John Metchie III, is a receiver I prefer over Williams. Mechie's route-running really does remind me of AB. Dude is open ALL. THE. TIME. Because of his December ACL, he drops to the 2nd/52. Know the only CB I saw give him a tough time? Kaiir Elam.
Or how about an FCS workout warrior and very productive player, Christian Watson? Good hands, incredibly successful on the deep ball, big as hell (6'4", 211 lbs.), fast, would have averaged more than 100 YPR if he played in Canada (cuz the field is ... never mind). Another 2nd round guy.
Alec Pierce from Cincinnati. Big (6'3", 212 lbs.), incredible fast-twitch skills, long arms that he uses to abuse CB's trying to jam him, fast, good productivity at Cincy. Some drops in college, however. I have him as a 3rd round guy/84.
Later rounds, Kevin Austin - Notre Dame. Basically just one year as a starter but produced 18.5 YPR, 8 TD's. Ideal size, good speed. Lack of significant college playing time makes him a 5th round ... okay, 6th round ... dammit, 7th round target.
