Watched some youtube vids on this kid. http://youtu.be/wo7Df2HuY9U
Looks quick and supposedly vision is one of his strengths.
GO JOSH!
Hopefully this kid can be the burner we were hoping for in Archer.

Seriously, WOW!

The kid has only had 8 ATTEMPTS. And in those 8 carries, he's gotten 41 yards. Thats 5.1 yards per carry.

Have we given up on him already? No way you can evaluate someone on that body of work. I'm anxious to see more of him with Chong gone!

Are you kidding me???? Some here can tell the entire Locker room / content, just with 20 seconds of video. So why not 8-carries on this kid???

When I watched his videos he did not look that fast. He reminded me of Willie Parker with out high gear. The guy seems shifty and makes nice cuts but seemed to be easy to tackle. He looked like he should have more power than he does. Very small amount of tape some of it college. He might look much better now that he has had some time with the team on the practice squad and he may continue to improve. He could turn out to be a serviceable back up but where bell was getting 12 or more yards I would expect this guy to get 4 or 5. I will be surprised if he gets much after contact.

That's what's concerning.. the fact that he sees one touch per game, in addition to being yanked off both return duties.

FWIW, I read over on BTSC that he's thought to be the second fastest guy on the team behind Archer. In another article he stated that scouts at his pro day told him they had him at 4.28 in the 40, but that NFL Network reported it as 4.4 official. If he actually has that kind of speed, and if he has any potential, hopefully he ends up pushing Archer in the long run.

Now, before anyone decides to jump in and "reconstitute" my words, I'm not saying that I expect an undrafted FA to take Archer's spot, that it will be easy for him to do so, or that Archer is a bust. Just that with luck, he will push Archer as competition would hopefully bring out the best in both and it would put the team in a better position.

So a blogger thought he was the fastest guy behind Archer. Pro days are notoriously inaccurate. That is why scouts now measure the track and do their own timing. If this kid runs that fast there must be a lot of guys running under 4 seconds in the forty out there because they were catching him in his game films. The other thing I saw from his film is that in his highlight films he seemed to be easy to tackle and not real fast. The good things I saw was he is shifty and makes good cuts. He may have improved a lot since then but I doubt he is faster.

Well, fwiw, they catch Archer pretty easily too. LOL .. Look, nobody's saying Harrison is going to be some ALL PRO stud. At least I hope they aren't. What I did say was that if he is anywhere near as fast as HE stated, I'd hope that he pushes Archer because competition could only make them both better. Let me quantify that by saying I mean as backups/complimentary backs to Bell.

Archer hasn't done anything noteworthy. He is too small. Give this other guy a chance.

I am wanting this kid to be a pleasant surprise as well. I am just not buying the hype. In comparing the two Archer and Harris, Harris seems to be easily tackled as well and is a bit slower. Still he is a bit bigger and might be able to retain the ball better when getting hit going through the line. I do not wish to set the expectations on this guy to high only to have him unable to meet them. As for competition to push Archer he had more of that before Blount was released. I hope both of these kids get a chance and surprise us making us glad we have them on the team.

It was not meant to be a slight on Archer. I understand they haven't given Dri enough opportunity to show what he's got.
Not predicting this kid is going to be the next Fast Willie Parker.
I am hoping he is a better backup than Blount. Blount almost never ran with the power he was hyped with, but looked fat, slow and lost yards or gained nothing far too often.

If he breaks even 1 arm tackle he will have done more then Archer.

Also, maybe the Oline works just that much harder with Harris coming in fresh and new.

We shall see...

And THIS is why he wasn't picked in the bottom of the 3rd round as a conditional pick like Young Archer...

Too little, too late.

You've earned yourself what's called a "cheerleader vendetta." Get ready for the instruction manual on what a REAL Steeler fan is.

You CANNOT be serious? Archer is averaging, as it has been stated over 5 yards per carry in a LIMITED ROLE. Give the kid a chance to put together some NFL film before you chastise him - unless you can go tote the rock better than he??? M'kay?

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to SteelBuckeye again.
