JuJU to KC

I think like some of us speculated, JuJu's production and skillset isn't what the Steelers needed moving forward, at least based on what JuJu's mom had to say about him wanting to stay in Pittsburgh.

This is interesting….

The Steeler WR do not create separation and the offense needs a game breaker not another possession receiver. this was part of the reason for the stale offense. We need someone to take the top off the defense
I love Juju but he cannot win consistently outside. He is a great slot option and fantastic on 3rd down but we have DJ who is better at getting open.

I have the Steelers taking a WR in the 1st rd. Either Olave or Jahan Dotson.

He is top 3 in our system right now.

That said, if the Steelers draft a WR in the first 2 rounds, DJ instantly drops to a #4. That's what i'm sayin.

Thanks for the clarification but Freiremuth isn't passing DJ on catches / yardage.

I'm hoping Claypool does get way better in the off-season training he is doing.

Pending on who we draft but if we do draft a High rnd WR I do hope he becomes a number one !!!!

I feel bad for JuJu as a person but also remember this is a business and JuJu wasn't BoomiN

Good Luck in your endeavers.

i think you are right about the total number of catches & yardage.

But in the 4th quarter when it's 3rd and Renfro, i think the ball is not going to Diontae but rather straight to Freiremuth.

I wanted the Steelers to keep JuJu, but if they wanted to move on, then that's their business. It's always a two-way street. Just like a player not wanting to stay, it's their prerogative. His mom needs to stay out of it and let the two sides move on.

We need a WR that doesn't fumble during pressure situations...Juju that was your problem.
You checking out the media's mock drafts? They all pretty much agree that Williams, Wilson and OLAVE won't be there for us at 1-20.
Of course, all it takes is one or two teams to do something totally unexpected and ....

Meh. She just let the truth be known. No harm in that.

Are there really three teams that need a WR in the first round before 1.20???

I have a strange feeling that both Willis and Pickett will be picked early and that should be enough to drop one of the big 3 WR's our way - PLUS - the talking heads think the WR from USC will go before all of them...#wewillsee

It’s usually some combination of Atlanta, Philly, the Jets and/or some other random team that “just can’t pass on the value here”

Olave or Metchie 111 in mid rounds based on recovery olave is a big fast wr in a chase frame but better wr iq
Love me some Olave. But, he’s nowhere near as big as Chase. He’s fast and smooth, creates separation and runs good routes, but he isn’t “Big”. He’s about 6’1” and 190 lbs. Not small; but not a Chase frame either

Here's the long and short of it: JuJu was a luxury, not a need. Seeing he was offered a $3.5M base from KC means JuJu chose to leave Pit with a 3yr offer on the table. JuJu wants that new WR money, and to get it, he has to be the man for a year.

He goes to Maholmes, because he's one of the top 3 QBs in the league. The only problem is, when JuJu signed, he thought he'd have Hill there to be his AB for a season to boost his numbers. Hill leaves in a mammoth trade, and Pringle left in FA to Chicago which left that spot at the slot.

Now if you're KC, to you consider moving JuJu to the X or keep him in the slot? He's being paid like a slot, but if he shows he can play the X (Which I think he can), he'll make bank next year instead of being locked into a 3yr contract between $30-$35M that the Steelers probably offered him.
