IF they draft Milroe, it is 100% ROCK BOTTOM for this franchise. There is no doubt he was a big reason Saban retired, but will never admit it. He liked the kid but knew he couldn't win with him and didn't have the heart to recruit over him.

Absolute HORRIBLE QB....but that's what we like. I can't believe what I've watched in real-time for the last decade+. Tomlin should be in jail for grand theft IMO.
Dumbass - as an alum and one w/ great inside info...you're ******* wrong.

Coach Saban retired because of the new NIL rules of college football. Period the end.

Back in your corner, Nancy...

Mildew and Rudolph in the QB room........LOL!

ONLY a total Tomlin homer is still onboard with this disgrace of a regime. Wow.

Speaking of the elusive Aaron Rodgers who last seen was meditating in a dark cave. Did y’all know Aaron’s playoff record is 7-9? Fit in real well here huh?

C'mon, man - he's had three losing seasons!! Why the hell would he even be under consideration??

Yep! Doesn’t fit in here now with all these non losing season.
Wouldn’t that be poetic justice to have Tomlin’s guy come here and give him his first losing season.

Milroe. Lol. That guy is mid at best. He would be a huge project, and the Steelers have little history of developing projects over the last 18 years. He’d have no chance here, relegated to the dustbin of history within three years.

So batting .500 on the first round hits though like I said its hard to see Tua playing long enough to win anything. Jones was a bust. Jury's out on Young but doesn't look promising and Hurts is a clear stud.

If you get Milroe in the 4th or later then fine. But without a 2nd round pick, you can't spend a 3 on him. This team has too many holes.

It would make no sense at all to let Fields walk and spend a premium pick on an even bigger project.

Besides, he's no Trace McSorley.

I cringe even thinking about us drafting him......which means the probability is high that we do. Total clown show.

Not a day 1 starter for sure but has the best traits in the draft with Ward. I keep hearing he’s not accurate but completed 64.3% of passes in college. Ball placement is a concern, that can be corrected with good QB coaching.

BTW, Josh Allen was a 56% passer in college, the allegedly “much more polished passer” Lamar Jackson was 57%.

Berm approves of this statement...

Not going to start a new thread, but did another steeler website recently shut down? Seems like there are a few more new posters more so than usu
al. And them seem knowledgeable.. good times

I came over from PlanetSteelers, it’s still up but listing badly, terrible performance issues, front page years out of date, spam bots starting to sneak in.

I just don't see it in Milroe. Alabama never lacks in talent and Milroe did not light it up. He has no where near the stats Hurts had so I don't get the comparison there. He does have some wheels though, but throws too many ints. I think he is a worse version of Fields.

Hurts put up his best numbers in Oklahoma. In two seasons starting at Bama, 40 TD passes, 10 INT, 21 rushing TD.

In Milroe’s two seasons as the starter, 39 TD passes, 17 INT, 32 rushing TD.

Completion pct at Bama:

Hurts: 63.6%, 61.1%
Milroe: 65.8%, 64.3%

In Hurts 2nd year at Bama he put up 17 TDs and only 1 Int. In 2018 at OK he only attempted 70 passes, but blew up in 2019. He had almost 9500 yrds and 80 tds to 20 ints total. Milroe was at 45 Tds and 20 ints at just over 6k yrds. Hurts had 4 very solid years and 3 exceptional yrs and seemed to get better every year. Milroe just never seemed to make the jump to the next level.

I think he is a worse version of Fields.

Best description of Milroe I have seen.

I am willing to give that analogy a credit of $14.00. That would reduce somebody's debt from $50 to $36 except for the fact the $50 debt has accrued interest of $15.30 over the past 5 years, 5 months at a very conservative rate of 5.65%.

The debt is hereby lowered from $65.30 to $51.30 with the credit, jizzer$50. Congratulations!

I came here from Stillers.com many years ago for the same reasons.
