I like Andy Weidle, appreciate his approach to the trenches. Omar is definitely a numbers guy but after the Claypool trade, he was a master.

They’re focused on the trenches, great. First pick after sitting back not expecting the Cowboys to trade with the Eagles, they lost Lemon. Ok, they need another OL and Iheanachor is our new right tackle. Fautanu probably moves to left guard unless Kahn and Weidle’s first pick, Jones, (physically or ability)
Is not the left tackle.

We all know the investment in the last three years in the offensive and defensive line. Here’s the offensive play makers or difference maker draft picks. The first three rounds.

Offensive:
Darnell Washington 2023 draft Tight end

Roman Wilson 2024 wide receiver

Kaleb Johnson 2025 rb.

Then we go back to Colbert’s last draft with Pickett and Pickens.

Idk. I'm not sure Lemon is that guy at the NFL
level. Guys are all upset over the Eagles jumping for him. I live over east in Eagles country...they are questioning why the Eagles made the move with his RAS score.

They do need playmakers, but the Eagles may have saved them from drafting a guy who may never really be that.

I'm in Delaware and most of the Eagles fans are very blah about trading up. They are mostly upset that they are spending even MORE draft capital to replace AJ Brown, who they all know is out the door come June 1st. And they are all worried they aren't going to get as much for Brown as they think (which they aren't).

Again, I don't even think it's the extra picks (the two 4ths) as the Eagles roster is pretty set, but it felt "forced" for them to have to take a WR because of the Brown situation.

Most good fans know it is bad when you focus on one position that much heading into a draft (besides QB).

Question, if Philly is on the phone with Dallas, their biggest rival, WTF wouldn't Dallas get on the phone with us and say Philly is trying to trade into our spot, do you want it? That's what I would've done to screw over my division rival.

I don't think Jones is that good, and don't expect him to be our LT healthy or not
I think they definitely was looking for seasonal protection or looking to next year for keeping their QBs now and or in the future upright.

Really makes sense when u look at it from their perspective and keep my likes out of it.

I think we should have tried to move down a few spots. There were still a few players with equal value left and we still might have got the same guy. I don't really know anything about the pick, but he seems to be more of a project and doesn't have a fully established position. We definitely need / needed to fix the oline. Im just not sure a hybrid project was the way to go. If we wanted a guard we could have snagged the Georgia guy. I don't think there was OT value where we picked.

I am not sure there was players of equal high upside.

Max gave up no sacks and has an elite RAS that was better then Troy and Broderick’s.

I am looking through potentially their lenses.

How do you know there weren't talks between Pittsburgh and Dallas, and Pittsburgh were either not interested in trading up, or not interested at the price?

I don't, I'm just curious since Steelers were on the phone with him while Dallas was on the clock, they obviously weren't thinking Dallas was trading out. If there were talks between Pittsburgh and Dallas, then Pittsburgh would've known Dallas was looking to trade from there, but since they were on the phone with Lemon while Dallas was up, they weren't expecting a trade there.
