I'm not sure she agreed to pay the NFL. She was on ESPN college gameday this past weekend and was adamant that she would not pay the NFL to perform.

Assuming her sentiment is probably shared by every star of note in the music industry, the NFL may have been forced to come off those demands if they wanted anyone even 5% of the audience has heard of.
